We know you've weathered a fair share of hiccups and cliffs in the journey of consumer products.

Well, hold on, folks, because we've spotted another product recall that has caught our attention

This time, a breakfast treat maker is the culprit—no, not your trusty old toastie machine; we're talking about waffle makers!

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) issued a recall notice for the PowerXL 5-inch (Model ESWM02) and 7-inch (Model ESWM03) Stuffed Wafflizer waffle makers, which were on sale between March and September of last year.

These waffle makers were sold at various outlets across Australia, such as Global Shop Direct, Australia Post retail outlets, TV Direct Stores and The Trading Post Newsagency.

'Hot pieces of waffle or stuffing may be expelled from the maker during use or upon opening the lid,' warned the ACCC.

If you've purchased either product, the ACCC advises you to park your waffle-making adventures to the side immediately.

You can reach out to [email protected] or dial 1300 137 598 if you own one of these risky contraptions to receive a latch adaptor repair kit.

These waffle makers haven’t just been wreaking havoc in Australian kitchens.

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission has removed the same products from their market following a sizeable 44 reports of people injured during their bite at breakfast.

Now, that's a number we don't want to match!
