Are these the healthiest nuggets you can buy? One Aussie says they’re a game changer

Healthy eating habits are often hard to maintain—especially when convenience and flavour don’t align with nutritional goals.

But one supermarket snack is making waves for ticking all the right boxes without shouting about it.

A recent discovery by a popular content creator has sparked a frenzy among shoppers, and for good reason.

A $9 chicken snack from Woolworths has become an unlikely sensation, with fitness enthusiasts raving about its impressive macros and unexpected health benefits.

The supermarket's chicken breast bites gained a cult following after an Aussie social media creator, Namrita Nikita, shared her excitement over the product's high protein content and low calorie count.

'I wanted to gatekeep it, but I'm not going to,' she said in her viral video.

'I need to put all of you on [the Woolworths chicken breast bites]. 176 calories and 16.4g of protein per 100g – are you kidding me? That's the best macros for nuggets that I've seen on the market.'

Nikita, known for her high-protein food finds, was quick to share her personal hack for cooking the bites to perfection.

She air-fried hers at 200 degrees for 12 minutes, rating the bites a perfect 10 for flavour, texture, and value.

'Nice flavour, decent size, tender and moist on the inside,' she said.

She even compared them to a McDonald's six-pack, claiming: 'You can have eight of these nuggets for [fewer] calories and more protein than a six-pack from McDonald's.'

While many health products boast fitness claims, these chicken bites aren't marketed as a diet food at all, which has only added to their appeal.

'This is your sign to read the packaging. I was doing my daily walk through Woolies when I came across this new line,' Nikita shared in her caption.

Shoppers have echoed her sentiments in glowing reviews, praising the taste, convenience, and macro-friendly profile of the snack.

'They're so yum and high in protein. A lovely snack and so easy to make. I'm going to buy it more often,' one Woolworths customer said.

Another added: 'Family favourite. The family loved these chicken bites. They are on the more expensive side for chicken bites, but the family definitely thinks they are worth it.'

One reviewer called them 'delicious! These did not last long in our household. Definitely good value for money and they tasted great.'

A fourth chimed in: 'A healthy alternative to some options currently available. We will and have continued to purchase these.'

Even toddlers seem to be fans of the snack.

'My 2-year-old loves these and I have bought them several times now. They seem like a fresher, more wholesome version of a nugget,' said one parent.

However, demand has been so high that many shoppers have struggled to find them in stores.

'Love this product–it's always sold out at my local store,' one fan commented.

Clearly, Woolworths' chicken breast bites are here to stay, at least until the next big food craze comes along.
