ANZAC Day Biscuits

Hi Members!

It wouldn't be ANZAC Day without the beloved ANZAC Day biscuits and I found this recipe taken from an old Australian newspaper! Do you follow the same recipe for your ANZAC Biscuits? Or do you do something slightly different? I'd love to hear your take on the traditional Aussie sweet.

If you haven't baked ANZAC Biscuits before, why don't you give them a try by following this recipe? Good luck! And let me know how yours turn out in the comments below. Mine were delicious, if I can say so myself!

What is a slow oven temperature?
It's 150 deg. I cook them at 170 deg or 160 for fan forced.
I cook for 15 minutes and swap trays around half way through.

If you want a chewy biscuit cook for 12 minutes

I also add extra golden syrup I add around 3 tablespoons

Important to leave on trays for 5 minutes then remove to a wire rack and leave until completely cold.
Then put into an airtight container

Recipe can be doubled

Same recipe I use. It is plain flour in my recipe. I cook for 12 minutes fan forced 160 degrees. Flatten biscuit mix more for more crispy edges, just place balls on tray for thicker more chewy biscuits. I cook for family, friends and neighbours, and if I am rostered to work from 1pm I cook for my work colleagues to enjoy. Pre covid I used to cook more and put two into small bags to give away to customers.
