Villawood
Woodside, SA

A nice town in the Adelaide Hills. It is the home of hills netball with the courts being built in the coldest part of the state! Woodside does have a terrific pub though and that’s definitely worth visiting!

Yalata

Yalata, in the isolated far west of South Australia, is both an Indigenous Protected Area and, within that, a township of the same name where an Aboriginal community lives.

I’ve never been there so can’t comment on any of the highlights of the area.

Batemans Bay
is a town on the south coast of New South Wales, Australia. Its beaches are part of the Batemans Bay Snorkelling Trail, with its reefs and native fish. The Clyde River flows past the town into large Batemans Bay. In the northwest, Clyde River National Park, a popular spot for kayaking and fishing, features salt marshes and coastal forests. Birdland Animal Park is home to wombats, koalas and kangaroos.

Cabage Tree Island.jpg
Cabbage Tree Island is well known for being the primary breeding site for the endangered Gould's petrel, a fact which has led to its designation as the John Gould Nature Reserve. It also has a significant history as an Aboriginal community and has been featured in a prominent yacht race.

Darke Peak

Darke Peak is a small agricultural town located in central Eyre Peninsula, South Australia. The town is the population centre for the surrounding agricultural district and has become a minor historical tourist town. It is situated on Barngarla lands.

The Darke Peah hotel serves cold beer and good country style food. It is a family orientated pub with no pokies or TAB. The pub also runs the caravan park, located behind the pub.

There are several sites nearby where free camping is available.
