Alert: Urgent recall for juice product due to contamination

Safety is paramount when it comes to what we consume, and that's why the recent recall of Moringafi Green Juice powder has sent shockwaves throughout the health-conscious community.

Widely sold online and touted as a superfood supplement, the product has come under scrutiny due to a potentially dangerous case of microbial contamination.

Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) has sounded the alarm over concerns that the Moringafi Green Juice powder sold in 270g packets is contaminated with Salmonella.

‘Food products contaminated with Salmonella may cause illness if consumed,’ FSA said in the recall notice.

The affected product has been available for sale online with an expiry date of 25 June 2025. Consumers are therefore strongly advised to heed the recall and avoid ingesting this product.

Salmonella is known for causing illnesses ranging from gastroenteritis to severe infections that may require hospitalisation.

Symptoms can include diarrhoea, fever, and abdominal cramps. These usually develop 12 to 72 hours after infection, persisting up to seven days.

In some instances, the bacterium infects the bloodstream, posing significant health risks that can be fatal, especially in elderly people, infants, and those with weakened immune systems.

Customers who have purchased this product are urged to contact Moringafi directly for a full refund.

Consumers can contact the company by calling the hotline 1800 667 464 or visiting Moringafi's website.

This comes after the luxury car brand BMW issued a mass recall affecting over 7,000 vehicles due to a manufacturing defect in the car’s brake electronics.

Similarly, electronics company Toshiba also recalled its laptop’s AC Adapters following reports of incidents that resulted in property damage and burn injuries.

I’ve been drinking greens and then reds as well, daily for about 12 years now. I’ve tried numerous brands over the years (primarily because some taste disgusting and others aren’t so bad), but have never had any adverse symptoms from any of them.
My usual go-to is by Nutri Organics Super Greens and Reds or Happy Way.
Vital All
has been around for a long while and very reputable too.
It really depends on the reason/s for choosing a supplement and the ingredients.
