ALDI's latest Special Buy range is taking the cleaning world by storm!

We all know that ALDI is already an amazing go-to for savvy budget shoppers – from their endless range of kitchenware and pantry staples to home decor and fashion accessories.

But did you know that their up-and-coming Special Buy range also includes many useful and top-notch cleaning items at prices that won't break the bank?

If you haven't had the chance to check out their range yet, this weekend's selection is sure to change your mind: the budget-friendly collection features a 15-item Special Buy cleaning range that starts at just $4, with cult favourites and previously unseen cleaning items set to be available from Saturday, January 21.

That's right – among the range are products we already loved, such as the $30 handheld steamer and $30 spin mop set, as well as some new releases that shoppers are already raving about, like the $100 cordless vacuum, $35 electric window cleaner, ultrasonic jewellery cleaner and fabric lint remover.

But which products within the collection are receiving the most attention from customers?

Cordless Stick Vacuum - $99.99

Of particular note is their 2-in-1 Cordless Stick Vacuum, which can be snagged for $99.99 - shoppers have even compared it to Dyson vacuums, which typically retail for at least $799!

'I bought the ALDI one after having a Dyson, and I absolutely love the ALDI one,' one woman said, while others agreed heartily in the comments. A former ALDI staff member even said that in their time working there, only two vacuums a year were ever returned.

However, as reported on the website ProductReview, the product in question has failed to meet the expectations it generated, having been granted a rating of only 2.6 stars out of a possible five.

One user, who reported having been initially satisfied with its performance, particularly praising the effectiveness of the turbo option, noted that over time the battery pack began to malfunction. It also didn't help that replacement batteries were so hard to come by.

They noted in their review, 'It is a great product, and everything else works perfectly. It is an unfortunate shame that it is a disposable item that will ultimately end up in a landfill.'

Handheld Steam Cleaner - $29.99

Shoppers seem to be very pleased with the Handheld Steam Cleaner, which is available for $30. Those who have tried the product have praised it for successfully deep-cleaning their bathroom shower and tiles, oven, car tires and more.

One particularly enthusiastic shopper even confessed to throwing out the iron in favour of their steam cleaner. 'I use it for literally cleaning everything. I steam our grout on tiles. I steam-clean car tires. I steam-clean toothbrushes. My word, I abused the $30 item!'

Sadly, this product also failed to meet the expectations of many users who shared their experiences on the website ProductReview.

The handheld steam cleaner received a disheartening rating of 1.2 stars out of five, with several individuals expressing their disappointment with the product, despite the hype that preceded its release.

In addition to its underwhelming performance, one user deemed it 'unsafe', citing issues with leaked water seeping from the power cord and an excessively hot handle.

Electric Window Cleaner - $34.99

The Electric Window Cleaner, available for $34.99, has also seen mixed reviews pouring in.

'Must admit I'm pretty impressed with the Electric window cleaner! Wish I took a before and after of the dirtiest window in my house; I loathe cleaning,' said one happy shopper.

What do the reviews on ProductReview say? Unfortunately, it parallels the previous products; the electric window cleaner also garnered a low rating and was met with underwhelming feedback from customers who have tried and used it.

One user complained about the malfunctioning spray bottle trigger and how the vacuum suction on their unit emitted noise but without any actual suction. They went on to advise, 'Save your money. This thing is landfill.'

My daughter purchased the hand held steamer and said it was useless as was the aldi hand held vac.

I have the spin mop and it's amazing .

My son got me a Dyson stick vacuum cleaner for my birthday 2 years ago and stopped sucking and we couldn't work it out. My daughter had dropped it and the filter broke, so we replaced it and still didn't work. My husband was going to throw it out , I said no we will take it and get it repaired, my son paid $700 for it.

I don't use it often as I have floor boards and tiles.

My son was here the other day and saw my daughter came home with a stick vacuum and asked where was mine.

He looked at it and found a blockage of stuff in the top of the stick ( I thought we checked the whole thing) now it's working like new

Aldi does a terrific job of copying products & items. It can be a win or forget it. Don't know until we try it. eg. I would rate Aldi's power force cream cleanser 80% effectiveness compared to the copy of Jif cream cleanser.
Looking at the pack of Aldi's microfibre cloths, where they have labelled different cleaning things is just silly.
Just a marketing ploy. Imo nothing beats Vileda microfibre cloths, as they are a superior quality. Bunnings stock them.
However, Aldi's glass bottle of mayo is a copy of another well known brand & Aldi gets this win!

I have a replacement Dyson stick vacuum which I bought recently and the old one is still functional after 5 years, so I use it in the shed. The newer one simply operates for a longer period and is quieter. I thought I would give the Aldi version a go but I gave it away after a few uses as the suction power is virtually useless on carpet. To even compare it to a Dyson is nonsense. When it comes to powered items from Aldi the only ones I have bought and was happy with were power tools. Any electronic item I purchased was poor quality. It is definitely a case of try something and if not happy return it. You can't expect the same outcome as more expensive brands for a fraction of the price. You quite literally get what you pay for.

Exactly. I noticed the Aldi's steam cleaner has a much lower wattage/power, plus other things. Of course it only costs $30 compared to my Karcher steam cleaner. I love it - my family gave it to me for Christmas, as I always wanted one.

I wish more people would accept the old addage of "You get what you pay for" as well as "If it sounds too good to be true it usually is" That way we would have far less people taking up space on social media complaining about the quality of a product they have purchased when it does not perform as expected. I know that common sense is far less common these days as the wording would suggest but come on!!
By the way this is a general comment and not directed at our lovely members.
