ALDI's $1.95 'game-changer' stain remover – here are the home areas where you can use it

When it comes to getting stains out of our clothes, we all want to know which cleaning product will work the best and, of course, the fastest.

After all, there is nothing more frustrating than spending money on a stain remover only to see that the dirty garment you tossed in the washer still has stains on it.

It's no secret that ALDI's Di San Pre-wash Stain Remover is among the cult favourite cleaning products many Aussie homeowners often turn to whenever they need something thoroughly cleaned.

It is available in two varieties: the Oxygen-activated one, which claims to be able to remove even the most stubborn stains, and the Degreaser one, which contains additional enzymes to remove oil and grease splotches.

And for $1.95, this multipurpose cleaner doesn't break the bank either! How good is that, eh?

We already know that ALDI's Di San Pre-wash Stain Remover is a game-changing laundry cleaning product. But did you know it has other uses, which go beyond clothes?

In a popular cleaning group on Facebook, one mum asked the members where else she could use her Di San product.

'Okay, lovely people! I finally walked into ALDI and bought the Di San stain remover with enzyme killer. Now, what can I use it for apart from clothes?' she wrote in a post.

The mum was delighted to see that the group members were quick to respond, with many of them commenting and suggesting other uses for the multipurpose cleaning product.

Here's what they had to say:

The bathroom

In the comments section, one mum wrote that she uses her Di San cleaner in several places in her bathroom, such as the shower glass, tile grout, around the sink drains, taps, and even the toilet.

A second person agreed and added, 'Just spray it on the area and leave on for a bit. After that, give it a quick scrub and wipe away the residue!'

A third user called the cleaner a 'game-changer' for bathroom cleaning.

Carpets

Aside from the bathroom, many of the group members said they also use the Di San cleaner on their carpets.

'I use it on carpet stains. Spray on the stain, leave it for five minutes, then scrub!' one person commented.

Another user agreed and shared that they even got blood stains off their carpet using this cleaner.

'My partner cut his hand when he fell down the stairs and hit it on a retractable walking stick. There was a lot of blood, but thankfully, the Di San cleaner made the whole thing come off,' she said.

In the kitchen

Of course, the Di San cleaner is also really effective for cleaning the kitchen. One mum even described it as 'fantastic' in her comment.

'I use it on the filters above the cooktop – spray, wait, brush, rinse,' she added. 'The easiest cleaner I have found so far.'

For pet owners

And for those who have little furry friends at home, you might also find the Di San cleaner extremely handy.

According to one homeowner, the enzyme-based stain remover 'neutralises' urine, as well as breaks down the faeces on a molecular level to get rid of them.

All of the good things about the Di San cleaner aside, there is also one thing you need to watch out for when using the cult favourite product.

On the back of the product's packaging label, it says that you should not mix it with any other cleaning product.

Speaking from experience, one mum went on to advise her fellow home cleaners. 'Warning, don't mix Di San with other chemicals,' she wrote in her post.

'Mixing Di San and Mould Away gave me headaches and nausea. I didn't think about checking the labels!'

Many people were grateful for her advice and thanked her for sharing it.

'Thanks for sharing and warning other members; I didn't know this,' one mum commented, with another agreeing and adding, 'Thanks for highlighting this! It is so important to read labels. Ventilation is paramount too.'

So there you have it, members! Do you have a bottle of Di San stain remover at home? Let us know where else you use it as well!

I use it on my concrete block retaining wall. Spray, leave & a quick brush it lifts the dirty stains between the join lines. Also for stubborn stains on concrete. Works a charm on grout lines of tiled floors. Works better than 30 second cleaner or grout cleaner on the market. Ventilation is important though.

I have used it on my car upholstery to get rid of water stains and also chocolate and other food stains which the grandchildren left on the seats.
I use it for almost any stains, just love it.
