Aldi launches new budget-friendly MEAL KITS: "10/10 will buy again"

After worries about money, convenience is one of the most difficult things for busy families to deal with in the modern kitchen. Most Aussies don't have a lot of time these days, so anything that makes life easier and faster in the kitchen is a welcome addition to the grocery list.

That is perhaps why shoppers everywhere are flocking to Aldi for the store's latest range of meal kits, which are supposed to be both cost-effective and time-saving in the kitchen.

Aldi's new 'Ready, Set, Cook' meal kits aim to relieve the mental burden of meal planning and preparation by serving up healthy meals to the family.

It was only a matter of time before ALDI entered the meal kit game, and the new budget kits, like just about everything else the German supermarket chain offers, are reputed to be high quality and reasonably priced.

So far, four kits are available, each designed to feed two people for just $14.99. Here are your options:
  • Tex Mex beef burger with rosemary salted fries and ranch slaw
  • Chicken pad thai
  • Teriyaki salmon with vegetable and black sesame rice
  • Bacon-wrapped pork and fennel sausages.

According to Kylie Warnke, a shopping expert at Aldi, these delicious and easy meal kits are made from the highest quality products for the lowest prices, which are perfect for Aussies who are looking to avoid spending hours in the kitchen just to create tasty and healthy meals.

"Simply choose your kit, shop the remaining ingredients listed and you're good to go," she said.

Whether you're not in the mood to cook or if you've had a particularly long day, a quick and easy meal could be just what you're looking for – and that is exactly what these meal kits purport to offer.

Shoppers have already rushed to the nearest Aldi stores in order to get these meal kits, and many of them have taken to social media in order to express their praises for the product.

One mum shared on Facebook that she bought the chicken pad thai and it was really "awesome".

"Makes a huge amount, we fed two adults, one teenage boy and a child easily," she added, noting that she’ll be a repeater purchased: "10/10 will buy again."

According to another customer, a meal kit for two might easily cost the equivalent $30 in a restaurant. "I whipped it up quickly, and this would cost $25-$30 in a restaurant," he claimed.

In terms of flavour, the man described himself to be in "heaven", praising the freshness of all the ingredients.

The burgers have also been a big hit with customers. "Found this and couldn't wait to taste it," one lady wrote next to a snap of two sliders.

"Was delicious – definitely recommended. $14.99 serves two," she added.

Others loved the fact that the meal packages needed very little effort on their part to prepare.

"I love that you don't have to think about anything because it's all ready for you," one Facebook user commented.

Another customer called the same dish excellent and said it was well worth the money. "Oh my goodness, it's amazing! I will definitely buy it again, and it was well worth the $15," she said.

The Aldi meal kits will be available until July or while stocks last, so for those who want to get their hands on these items best hurry up, since they might not be around for long!
