The beloved supermarket chain has just unveiled its annual customer-voted awards, The People’s Picks and this year's lineup is more enticing than ever.

With a whopping 80 products making the cut, it's clear that ALDI continues to charm shoppers with its unique blend of quality and value.



But what's truly remarkable is the shift in shopping habits that ALDI has observed. New data has revealed a significant 5.1 per cent increase in households turning to ALDI for their grocery needs.

This isn't just a fleeting trend; it's a testament to the supermarket's growing appeal among Australians seeking savings and satisfaction in their shopping experience.


The People’s Picks awards, now in their sixth year, are more than just a list of popular items; they're a reflection of what ALDI shoppers hold dear.

From pantry staples to indulgent treats, the top 80 products span a range of categories that cater to every aspect of daily life. And with prices starting from $0.69, it's no wonder these items have been crowned the cream of the crop.

This year, ALDI has spiced things up with two brand-new categories: The Best Newcomer, showcasing the latest additions to ALDI's shelves, and Certified Gold, highlighting the top award-winning products.

These categories join the ranks of The BBQ Boss, The Socialite, The Aussie Made Fave, The Lunchbox Legend, The Time Lord, and The Partner in Grime, ensuring that every facet of the ALDI shopping experience is celebrated.



The People’s Picks isn't just for the ALDI aficionados; it's also a golden guide for newcomers to the ALDI family.

The surge in ALDI's popularity is further underscored by an 8 per cent increase in customer trips over the past three months.

It's clear that Australians are not only visiting ALDI more frequently but are also leaving with fuller trolleys and happier wallets.



ALDI Australia’s Shopping Expert, Kylie Warnke, shared the excitement.

‘We’re so excited to bring back The People’s Picks for its sixth year! We love to see classic items like the Urban Eats Greek Spinach & Cheese Spanakopita and The Best Margarita Pizza Ever return as finalists year after year, as well as cheer on new products that are making their debut on the list, such as the Kapiti Passion Fruit and Kamahi Honey Ice cream and the Café Series Salt & Pepper Tempura Barramundi,’ he said.

‘We are proud to have seen more customers in our stores this year and want to encourage both new and longstanding shoppers to not only vote for their favourite for their chance to win but also check out the list which might help them discover something new instore. We can’t wait to see what items make it to the winners’ podiums for 2024.’



The People’s Picks awards are more than just a popularity contest; they celebrate the ALDI community's voice.

By casting their votes, shoppers not only have a say in which products earn the spotlight but also stand a chance to win a share of $10,000 worth of ALDI gift cards.

There will be 10 lucky winners, each receiving a $1,000 ALDI gift card, allowing them to indulge in all 80 finalist products.
