For starters, here are the ingredients you need for this recipe:
1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 large egg
2 tablespoons of milk
3/4 cup dry bread crumbs
1 teaspoon paprika
4 pork sirloin cutlets (113g each)

Okay, if you have all that’s needed, you know what next — let’s get cooking!

Start by preheating your handy air fryer to about 190 degrees Celsius (if your air fryer needs it, if not just skip this step). Get three bowls. In the first one, place the flour, seasoned salt, and pepper, then mix. Whisk the egg and milk in the second bowl until blended well. And on the last bowl, combine the paprika and bread crumbs.

Once you have those steps done, tenderise the pork cutlets by pounding them with a meat mallet to about ¼ inch thick. (If you don’t have a mallet, use the flat side of a sturdy skillet or a rolling pin to whack the pork!)

When you get the pork to the desired thickness, dip them in the flour and give them a quick shake (to slough off the excess flour).

Next, dip them in the egg-milk mixture and the bread mix. Pat the dipped cutlets to help the coating settle on the meat better.

Lastly, get a tray, grease it, and place it in the air fryer basket with a quick spritz of cooking spray. Cook the cutlets for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown, then flip, spray, and cook for another 4-5 minutes.

Hooray! When the schnitzel’s all good, set it aside and begin work on the sauce.

In a small saucepan, combine one tablespoon of all-purpose flour with 3/4 cup of chicken broth. Stir the mixture thoroughly until it is thick and smooth. Then, bring the mixture to a boil, stirring continuously. Once the mixture has thickened, lower the heat and stir in 1/2 cup of sour cream and 1/4 teaspoon of dill weed. Ensure the heat is low; otherwise, the sour cream might curdle!

Once the sauce is cooked, you’re all set! Enjoy this delicious air fryer pork schnitzel meal in the comfort of your home.

This recipe for pork schnitzel is undoubtedly something you will enjoy. The air fryer will give the side dish a crisp exterior, similar to a fried schnitzel, without fuss.
