i have trouble talking about myself.
I’m a 65 year old lady, I have 5 children and 10 grandchildren with 1 great grandchild
After being made redundant in my job and then I left my next job in Townsville because of bullying in the workplace.
I packed up and moved to Melbourne and stayed with my son and his wife for a few months, I bought a secondhand Pajero and a Caravan ( bought privately from an elderly couple, unbeknown to me they swapped the caravan I looked at with another caravan, which I found out later whilst travelling with my friends around Australia my finger went through the wall where it had rotted from water damage. Then found out That I had really been burnt by the couple, the whole structure ( frame) timber has wood rot) but the Caravan is my home so I have had to just put up with it as it is. Needless to say I don’t trust anyone any more.
After getting half way around Australia I started having problems with my arm and neck so I did a detour to Townsville for medical help, so I didn’t get ri around Australia. I am on a disability pension and I now live in my caravan in a friends driveway in SA. It is the only way to be able to afford to live these days, but that’s what really good friends do for each other.

I'm so sorry to hear about this. I can totally understand why it can be hard to trust others after learning about some of the challenges that you had to face (and still live with). I wish we could give you a real, tight hug and I hope the SDC can be a safe space for you to turn to. You seem like such a strong person and I admire you
