A suggestion for supermarkets to assist vertically challenged people (or short people)

I am under 5 ft - shortie - yes. I really hate it when I have to reach top shelves for items. It is so dangerous because I have to step on the bottom shelf to reach the top shelf for the item way in the back. Most times I just embarrassingly ask a taller person to just get it for me which most happily oblige to (and probably pity me at the same time :) )
My suggestion is for the supermarkets to adopt what libraries and other filing offices do - have a good stable two step stool on wheels. With the amount of profits they rake in surely they can have at least one for every 5 rows.
