An American couple were among a coach party of seniors touring England. One lunchtime their tour took them to Runnymede, where they saw a plaque which said, "Magna Carta signed here 1215."
The wife looked at her watch and then turned to the husband and said, "Gee, Norm, what a shame! I guess we just missed it."
 
Back in the 60s & 70s this what woman had to wear at that time of the month, but they were even thicker. We used to call it "The Brick" as that's what it was like to wear the silly thing.
