A message from the SDC Team​

Hey members!

Just a little message from us. We have had a few members reach out saying they would love to be able to organise group meetups with other members. We encourage you all to meet each other and make new friends, however seeing we are just a small team we won't be able to organise these meetups ourselves.

Meetups can be organised by each of you using different threads in this forum. Remember to make sure you put your state and city / town so other members know whether they would be able to attend or not, seeing this group is an Australia-wide group!

We encourage you all to follow COVID-19 restrictions if you are in a state that is currently under specific restrictions. We also just want to reiterate that this club is a safe and inclusive space for all members and if a meetup is organised, we would hope that, that meetup is also a safe and inclusive space for any member to make new friends.

Finally, we want to thank member Marilyn from Westminster who reached out to us and encouraged us to start this forum! Marilyn will be posting her local thread soon to organise a meetup for members around her area.

If you ever have a bad experience with a meetup, please reach out and let us know. In saying that, if you have a positive experience please post about it here! Or send us an email, we'd love to hear all about it.

Please also use your common sense and only meet people in public places. Remember that not everyone on the internet is who they may claim to be.
