A Greek lesson in Economics!
A rich German businessman travels to Greece for a holiday
He goes into a small hotel and sticks a 100 Euro note on the counter and tells the owner to hang onto it so he can inspect the rooms to check their quality before he decides to stay overnight.
The owner gives the German a master key and tells him to take his time and check all the rooms as there are no other customers due to the current crisis
As soon as the German goes upstairs the owner runs down the road and gives the 100 Euro note to the butcher to pay his meat bill
The butcher then runs down the road with the note to pay the farmer for his meat supplies
The farmer runs down the road to pay his feed merchant
The feed merchant runs down the road to the bar to pay the bar owner for his beer tab
The bar owner takes the note to give to the prostitute who has has supplying him favours
The prostitute runs up to the hotel to pay the owner for the room she has been renting so she can do her business
The hotel owner puts the 100 Euro note back on the bar just as the German comes back down. The German decides the rooms were of poor quality so isn't going to stay.
Nobody produces anything nobody earns anything but now the whole village is out of debt and feeling more optimistic for the future
and that is how the bailout works!
