50th Anniversary
An elderly couple were enjoying lunch at a diner when the husband leaned over and whispered:
“Do you remember our very first kiss, back behind the old tavern… over fifty years ago?”
His wife chuckled. “Of course I do.”
He grinned. “How about we sneak back there and relive it—for old times’ sake?”
She laughed. “Oh Jim, you’re still a troublemaker… but alright!”
A young police officer sitting nearby overheard the exchange and thought, I’ve got to see this! Curiosity got the better of him, so he quietly followed the couple as they shuffled down the street.
When they reached the back of the tavern, the two leaned against the fence, embraced, and suddenly began jerking, bouncing, and shaking like wild teenagers. The officer’s jaw dropped. Incredible! These two are full of life!
After a few moments, the couple collapsed onto the grass, gasping for air. Eventually, the officer walked over and said in amazement:
“Excuse me, but that was unbelievable! What’s your secret?”
The old man, still catching his breath, pointed at the fence and said:
“Secret? Son… fifty years ago, this wasn’t an electric fence!”
