“The best!”, Foodie shares recipe for Croissant French Toast

A foodie has shared her quick and easy recipe for chocolate croissant French toast that will surely become your new breakfast favourite.

“Cooking is my happy place,” said Ayeh from Sydney, who created her twist on the classic French toast by using croissants bought from her local supermarket.

Ayeh shared that she had always had a passion for cooking from a very young age. Photos from TikTok / @cookingwithayeh.

Ayeh starts by bringing out the store-bought croissants and slicing them along the middle with a knife.

Then, she starts making the batter. She first cracks an egg into a bowl, then whisks it along with a dash of almond milk and cinnamon.

She then coats the sliced croissants in the batter, flipping them over a few times to allow them to absorb the sweet cinnamon flavour and soften the bread. She
After adding cooking oil to a frying pan over medium heat, she places the coated croissants into the pan.

After a few minutes, she flips them over to make sure they are evenly cooked. Once golden brown, the french toast croissants are ready to leave the pan.

Finally, she stacks the French toast croissants on a round plate and adds a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top along with a healthy drizzle of chocolate sauce.

The Australian foodie’s TikTok video gathered over 140,000 views since posting, with numerous comments flooding in to praise her for the tasty idea and congratulate her on her two million follower milestone.

“Wow, this is such a great idea; looks quick and easy too,” wrote one person in the comments section.

“This looks like the best way to start your day; a big congrats to you,” another said, while a third person added, “Croissant French Toast is the best!”
