‘Valid until 26 July’: Just Shop members are being moved—will you stay or go?

Loyalty programs are a key part of how shoppers engage with their favourite brands—so when one is suddenly scrapped, it can spark confusion and concern.

A major retail group has announced the closure of its long-running rewards system, leaving customers wondering what this means for their points and perks.

The shake-up will affect popular fashion brands across Australia and is part of a much bigger transition.

A major change was on the horizon for loyal shoppers of some of Australia’s most recognisable fashion brands.

Just Group confirmed it would close its Just Shop Rewards loyalty program at the end of next month, with the scheme officially ending on 30 June.

From 1 August, customers would instead be moved over to the MYER one program as part of a broader transition following Myer’s acquisition of Apparel Brands.

The update would apply to shoppers at Dotti, Jacqui E, Jay Jays, Just Jeans and Portmans, both in-store and online.

Club members could continue earning Just Shop Rewards points until 30 June, with any accrued benefits remaining valid until 26 July.

Customers were notified via email on 30 June afternoon, with the company assuring them they would still enjoy rewards.

‘As a valued Just Shop Rewards member, we’ll join you to MYER one, so you can continue to treat yourself when you shop at Just Group brands,’ the email read.

A follow-up email would be sent to help members complete their new MYER one membership and start receiving the benefits.

‘A separate email will be sent to you to complete your membership, so you can start receiving the benefits of MYER one program.’

Customers who did not wish to be moved to the new program had the option to opt out by contacting Just Group directly.

The change came after Myer struck a deal worth nearly $950 million in October to purchase Premier Investments’ clothing division.

Brands like Just Jeans, a staple of Australian fashion retail, would be among those impacted by the loyalty scheme shift.

In a previous story, we reported on the closure of another beloved clothing chain that had long been a fixture in Australian shopping centres.

The news sparked a wave of nostalgia and concern among loyal shoppers.
