Police said that they've been called to intervene in a brawl between a man and a woman — who were reportedly ex-partners — and her new boyfriend which unfolded at the Station Road and Ballarat Road intersection in Deer Park, Melbourne at 4pm on Sunday afternoon.
Footage of the roadside fight shows a male driver — who was reportedly in his 50s — getting out of a blood-splattered car, flaunting a large knife.

A woman then appeared and struck the man in the head with a shovel, knocking his sunglasses off.
A second man then went in to join the brawl, hitting the man with a weapon that appears to be a metal handle of an object before punching him several times.
At one point the knife-wielding man was knocked unconscious by a blow from the mystery weapon. However, this did not stop the couple from hitting him again and dragging him along the ground.
Astounded motorists yelled and honked their horns at the pair as the woman collected the weapons before walking away.
It was reported that no one was seriously injured in the brawl — the first man was able to drive himself to the hospital while the second man was detained by police at the scene.

A woman named Chloe, who claimed to be the estranged daughter of the ex-partners, reached out to the police to help with the investigations.
Chloe claimed that the man who was helping her mum fight her dad is the mum's new boyfriend.
'[I've] never seen anything like it,' she told 9News as she explained how she went out to get dinner when she witnessed the roadside attack.
Currently, no charges have been laid out to any of the parties involved. However, investigations are still ongoing.
