    IT's a shame that vets don't bulk bill pet owners on welfare, as pets help in many ways those vulnerable people, (mentally,etc) that can in the long run save the government medical costs that relate to those on welfare.

    Nearly everthing is transported and with transport cost increasing so is cost of living. This govt took over with fuel excise 22c per ltr and have raised it to 49.6c per litre. If they put the excise price back to when they took office it would make a big difference!

    Animal shelters overwhelmed as pet owners 'abandon' their COVID companions

    They are very important for mental stimulation and calming effects for the elderly ( saving medical expenses for the govt). If vets bulked billed, many procedures for pensioners, it would help immensely and without the financial burden many pets may not be abandoned.
