'That was a s*** joke': Aussie disability advocate slams comedian over ‘extremely insensitive’ behaviour

Partially agree. If you go to a show and it is sprung on you I can understand the upset.

'That was a s*** joke': Aussie disability advocate slams comedian over ‘extremely insensitive’ behaviour

I see many comics with disabilities , but they use their comedy against themselves as they experience it. Not as a general comment about others. Whose experiences can be horrific and not to be used as a laughing stock.

American tourist says chicken salt is the only thing Aussie food gets right—but he has another gripe

So true, but if he is a social influencer I hate his comments going to Americans who don’t know the truth.

American tourist says chicken salt is the only thing Aussie food gets right—but he has another gripe

What a deluded twit. After 4 visits to the mainland and Hawaii the medium foodery is a cholesterol filled plate of rubbish. Don’t know any of my friends in the given age groups who would be rude enough to speak to a stranger about politics unless it came up in conversation, Having many...

I don’t cut off my nose to spite my face, being disabled online shopping is a godsend, but always check everything thoroughly and try to stick with the same people I have come to trust,

Can’t tell you how often myself walker and assistance have been almost wiped out on the walking legs crossings. Usually suv,s I honestly don’t think we can be seen. Our shopping centre has put rumble strips in front of them now so people who don’t understand signs can recognise and stop.

'I’m paying your wages, so f*** off’: Clash between restaurateur and council sparks debate

That was a good point, but you just can’t break the law willynilly, so many people being inconvenienced and they pay taxes as well.

'I’m paying your wages, so f*** off’: Clash between restaurateur and council sparks debate

Our area has a cafe with a line of small tables, no plants , still leaves enough room for all that need to get past. She said she would go to jail rather than remove the plants. People before plants.

'I’m paying your wages, so f*** off’: Clash between restaurateur and council sparks debate

Rather sarcastic, I was quite polite about it. Most footpaths have more than one person travelling along it me plus people more than a bit squishy. Hope you never have to find out how it feels.

May Competition: Childhood Memories – share your story and you could win $100!

Going back a bit, 1945, dad the town baker took the unsold bread to out of town properties where families were doing it hard. I was 5 and loving jolting along in a horse drawn cart. No matter how little families had we were always asked in for a cuppa for the baker, home made ginger beer for...

'I’m paying your wages, so f*** off’: Clash between restaurateur and council sparks debate

Take your point but honestly how would you like to be trying to get past with a wheelchair walker etc? She doesn’t own the space and council are actually doing what they are paid to do on our behalf.

'I’m paying your wages, so f*** off’: Clash between restaurateur and council sparks debate

I am 85 with a walker and an assistance dog. Full access to a footpath is a need not a want. Regardless of race this person is a foul mouthed woman who wants it all her way. Wouldn’t be happy if someone was hurt and sued the pants off her. Surely if not lawfull council workers could just...

Yes discrimination, I have seen dogs bigger than that. I do have an assistance dog, a kelpie, and don’t see if it helps its person why no admittance.
