‘Absolutely disgusting’: Coles and Woolworths' checkout trend causes stir among shoppers

I refuse to use SCO ; "if yo don't trust me don't invite my in" No fast check out (12 items) I don't go in (to the store) ---- I go to Aldi occasionally :( I have left my shopping for them to put back on the shelf when I couldn't get service --- maybe more should do that ;)

Navigating the Complexity of Deceased Estate Share Sales with Compassion and Expertise

Tips from recent and on going , and on going , and on going experience Don't rush into the funeral ; give family/friends 7-10 days or more to get themselves organizing . Try not to have too many making the same decisions --- one cleans out of the house ---- another sorts out the money ---- same...

Drivers beware: This obscure road rule could cost you $215!

Makes more sense than adding to the road side ''sign pollution'' ; much of which is insurance against insurance claims :( Little off topic: the best sign pollution is "new road work -- no lines -- don't over take -- slow down" and 100 mts on is "end road work" WTD!!

This Is How Much Laundry Detergent You Should Actually Use — And Yes, It's Shocking.

same goes for tooth paste --- all the adverts showing the brush is totally covered is just a "use more" trick Better clothes washing trick imo is start the wash then pause to soak for as long as you like .

Is your favourite retro cleaning trick actually making your home dirtier?

(plastic) micro fiber is not good for environment . Best to use good old fashion but natural cotton

Coles shocker: Scales disappear from self-serve registers, leaving shoppers weighing their options!

I don't use self service ! If the store invites me in to spend money they can bloody well give me a little service ! I have left a full basket and walked out when service was not available . Yep; then someone had to put it all back on the shelf while I shopped elsewhere

Mum's unapple-ing ALDI discovery sparks debate!

If that's biggest drama for the day then the world is safe Was all part of the fun of shopping back in day before it was only 'perfect' fruit accepted , farmers not getting paid for all they grow and the so, so much bloody waste ! Old joke : what is worse than finding a grub in your apple ...

Major Aussie retailer faces serious allegations from the ACCC

I have found , or I had found a store were good quality shirts are the proper/same size (2x) across the range --- but I couldn't find them yesterday to add a link :( . I know where I can get "JB's wear" ;) if I cannot find the one I used last year Perhaps you could add a link to your favourite...

Major Aussie retailer faces serious allegations from the ACCC

I have no idea how anyone (especially woman) can order clothing online when there is no international sizing so all sizes are the same across all lines . From personal experience at a walk in River's store : clothing material has become so thin it is of little to no use for grease rags even...

Mum overlooks detail in ALDI purchase: ‘I didn’t realise it’

Fitted sheets wear out faster ; a lot faster , so be smart and buy flat sheets only so they are swapped around from top to bottom ;) My parents/grandparent would tear worn sheets in half longways , and then sew the two outsides together to get far more life out of what was then thicker...

‘This is your sign’: Shopper's ALDI and Coles haul saves her almost half on grocery bills

My thoughts : Coles mostly , but I'm not shopping for a family so I buy what I need/want and have very little waste . If ALDI wasn't in Australia we would be paying a lot more --- a hell of a lot more! --- for food and the likes. Coles and WW have had to lower , or keep the their priced down...

‘Stay vigilant’: Coles shoppers discover discrepancies in self-serve registers

Duck their bloody self check outs!! I generally do walk there walk home little shops under 15 items in a backpack ---- no staffed fast check out I walk out . So Coles win WW lose . If I drive the other stores in town ; WW and IGA win and Coles lose out . As for Aldi --- only if I really need...

‘Absolute disgrace’: Car park design in local shopping centre puzzles residents

Know nothing about this place ; but in general car parks should be 45 degrees instead of 90 degrees imo. Likely too much like common sense for over educated bureaucrats to understand

Identifying AI made easier: Meta rolls out new measures for AI-generated tools

Yeah yeah ; I know I'm an old fat in the dark ages , but to me AI has to be the most dangerous "invention" in my life time . If digital photography (that I embrace/use everyday) was scary enough , AI is totally terrifying IMO and Governments are way way behind in protecting people from the Bad...

Coles insiders leak checkout secret after shopper’s ‘awkward and weird’ experience

If you (supermarkets) don't trust us then put just a little of your profits back into actually serving customers For me ; you can take your self-service BS and shove it where the sun doesn't shine ---- I never use it . I having never been into a refinished local woolworths because there is no...
