I thought that it was illegal to request a tip in Australia as all staff are required to be paid, as a minimum, award wages and if they are not then the COMPANY IS BREAKING THE LAW!!!!

I doubt it will stop the scams from overseas that computer generate a random Aus number they will instead probably use a dodgy overseas number instead

But they have been getting rid of their ATMs and being replaced by private ones owned by the likes of Armourguard and Prosegeur andvother companies and they do charge for withdeawls!!

Unfortunately as a Government Business Enterprise they ARE required to make a profit and pay a return to the government. With a drop in letters to deliver they obviously do not require so many posties as rounds could be amalgamated - say three become two. Then I am sure the unions will scream...
