I've said it before and I'll say it again, the paper bags of the 70's & 80's didn't have handles... remove the handles from the current bags and then you must carry them by the bottom... no handles to tear and less chance of the bag ripping

as a kid in the 60's my favorite was Cottee's Coola.... yummy😋 you could even get it by the cup in the Coles Variety Store in Oakleigh

it's not just SA that's affected, last Friday at Woolworths here in Melton VIC there was less than a dozen bags available. Cost was $8:50 for a 2kg bag of washed spuds

we are a small household of 2, living in Melton, the Ardeer Costco store is too far away to even think about driving that far, just the cost in time and fuel not to mention the membership would soon gobble up any savings that are made.... we no longer buy in bulk

Here's my current version a banana sanger, bread buttered on both sides sliced(not mashed) banana and some nutella and toast in the frypan..... so yummy... if you mash the banana it gets messy
