Chances are you aren't deep-cleaning your toilet enough, according to a professional cleaner

There was an article just recently saying ”Do Not use bleach on your toilet seat as it yellows it.” No bleach for me.

Airline demands $1332 for simple name change request

I can’t believe what the airlines are getting away with today. Friends had to cancel flight to New Zealand 4 weeks prior, she had to have emergency surgery. Qantas would not refund the money! No voucher offered either. Now we all know those seats will be filled so the airline gets double for the...

Woman receives haunting messages from her late husband on Facebook

We do not use Facebook at all but I don’t find it unreasonable to ask to see a death certificate. I’ve had to produce one to change utility bills, phone bill and insurance to a single name instead of joint names. We all know that there are people who do strange things to their partners accounts.

Stunned Police Caught Learner Driver Allegedly Racing At Double Speed Limit - Here’s What Happened

The authorities should take their license away for 2 years. These drivers are putting everyone at risk.

See the detail in Woolworths' new displays that has shoppers up in arms - Is it ageist?

These labels are a nightmare. Yes they do slant in making it even harder to read. Our Woolies seems to have squeezed another shelf in at the bottom. Impossible to read. I have to use my phone to take a photo of the label so I can read it. Don’t get me started on restocking shelves - empty...

Outrageous! $1 for a single sauce packet has customers fuming

This is a ridiculous mark up. You can buy a tray of 20 of these sachets for $4:50!

Recognising and celebrating diversity: Experts propose two more public holidays in Australia

I agree with WideBayMike. If people move to this country then they have voluntarily left some of their traditions behind. It’s fine if they want to celebrate their holidays by having a day off but the whole country doesn’t need to celebrate. Surely we have enough holidays already. Leave it alone.

Why are grandparents now called 'grandfriends' at school events? Here's the controversial reason behind the new name

South Australian schools have grandfriend days too! The concept being that not all children have easy access to grandparents (they may be deceased or not live in the same state) however they may have a special relationship with an older neighbour or relative. This enables them to invite someone...

American in hot water after criticising iconic Aussie food: ‘A big crime.’

I’m Australian born and bred and do not like fairy bread and have never served it at any of my children’s birthday parties!

Plagued by stubborn ink stains? Here’s how to easily remove them with a grocery staple

I’m nearly 70 and was taught this method of removing ink stains by my mother. Many, many times over the years I’ve had to soak the pocket of my husbands shirt to remove ink spots. Everything old is new again! 🤗

Meal delivery service slammed after mum’s nasty mince meat discovery: ‘Revolting without a doubt’

We used Hello Fresh for several months. I agree with other comments - they were good to start with but went steadily downhill after that. Missing ingredients, the meat of all things and slimy herbs and greens. I complained and received a refund however it continued so I’ve cancelled all...

Take a look at these three kitchen storage hacks using Kmart basics!

Yes I’ve been using IKEA wooden racks to store chopping boards and oven trays. IKEA also sells a concertina rack so you can adjust it to fit wider things in.Makes it so easy. I agree about the tea towel holder- not conducive to good hygiene. The tea towel would take longe to dry when scrunched

Is Bunnings in trouble? Customers complain about increasingly poor service and lack of staff

Totally agree. There is a definite lack of staff lately. Why have a self service check out which is closed 9 out10 times we go there. Only two check outs open and they’re usually full of tradies with a trolley full. Also, wh is there such a small counter at the checkout?

This Aussie traveller was 'wedged between two obese people' on her flight and she's not happy about it

Been there, done that ! We only book aisle seats now. At least you get some room from the aisle.

A couple's wild dispute with tradies divides the internet - which side are you on?

Why don’t we all use our manners more? It’s not that hard. Dreadful reaction from the oldies.

An Aussie who doesn’t like Tim Tams? Should her Aussie card be revoked?

I’m not a fan of Tim Tams but I love Vegemite. Not a fan of chocolate either but I’m born and bred Aussie. I think I own half the Tim Tam factory though based on how much my hubby loves them and eats them daily.

This Bunnings worker has had enough of cleaning up faeces and made an urgent plea to customers

Dogs should not be in shops, unless it is a service dog. A child was nipped at our local Bunnings . I will not put our grandchildren in the trollies at Bunnings. We all had to stop and wait to access the escalator recently as a woman tried to coax her very large dog onto it. The dog was not...

Starting next week, you could be fined $660 for this simple supermarket trolley act

Yes abandoned trolleys are annoying. I’ve reported many over the years. It’s all well and good to say bring in ‘coin’ trolleys everywhere but we are fast becoming a cashless society so how would that work? If we go the Aldi way and have a token it needs to be made to be inserted in the slot...

Dietitian shares differences between Sydney and Adelaide living - do you agree?

Just back from a visit to Sydney. I commented on the way home, “ It was go to go but I would never live there. The traffic would drive me crazy.” Adelaide for me always.

Homeowner's 'rude' note to ward off trick-or-treaters goes viral: ‘This is Australia not America’

There’s an unwritten rule in our neighbourhood. If you don’t wish to participate, don’t decorate! The children only go to houses with halloween decorations up.
