Confusion grows over what can safely be brought on public transport

The trouble is policing it. They can't keep on top of what they need to know across the board so this would only take police away from somewhere else. Too many problems, not enough man power and not enough dollars to pay them.

TV veteran's drastic move sparks vital conversation for older Australians: 'I am just disgusted'

Until the politicians or their families are affected themselves unfortunately they have zero understanding and it has always been that way.

$8.50 for a single bottle of water—should students really be paying this?

Absolutely beyond disgraceful and needs to be stopped. It's usually an independent individual who owns the vending machines but the university should be keeping an eye on pricing on their property for their students and should have had it removed if prices weren't lowered considerably.

Confusion grows over what can safely be brought on public transport

I know common sense is lacking these days but it is surely only meant to be bikes and scooters powered by yourself going on public transport. Anything else should be banned. They need to draw a line in the sand and be done with it and make it Australia wide.

Copper Coast Council threatens ratepayer with legal action over 'offensive' comment

He probably should have been more careful with his wording however it certainly gets the message across as to his anger. I think home owners should have parking privileges outside their homes before shoppers. I would not be impressed if I had to park away from my own home and then walk risking...

TV veteran's drastic move sparks vital conversation for older Australians: 'I am just disgusted'

It doesn't say much about Victoria. There is so much about it on the news it must be a nightmare to live there. You would not even want to visit these days and the deterrents by judges don't help so I don't see the problem improving anytime soon unfortunately.

The medicinal cannabis gold rush that's got doctors worried—and what it means for you

It's well known that tumeric powder is great for inflammation just must be activated with black pepper. I have that and ginger every day in my smoothie and although I don't have any specific pain, prevention is better than cure. Walking definitely helps as well, the old saying move it or lose it...

At the end of the day, the taxpayer pays for the obesity problem so it is all of our problem and needs to be addressed. No point burying our heads in the sand about this either.

Calls for Australia to follow England's ban on supermarket junk food specials

You look in the weekly specials brochures for coles and Woolworths and the majority of food specials is for junk and the unhealthy processed foods. They could and should do alot better. It's all very well saying it's up to the consumer but when every penny counts the cheaper option plus the one...

Keep your home pest-free with this 'magic' remedy that stops spiders, bugs, and fruit flies invading your home

I àm going to try the peppermint oil to keep cockroaches away that would be a blessing in my book. They are disgusting things.

3,000 banks gone! Here’s what it really means for your money

I think it's a disgrace when you can't access your own money and who can cancel your account except yourself. What is this world coming to. It is dreadful when people have to travel for considerable distances to find their bank now. It should not have been allowed to happen.

Fuel running low: Could Australia shut down within 30 days?

Australia is always the last country to use common sense in these issues and waits until we have a problem, oops then thinks perhaps they should do something about it. Nothing like burying your head in the sand. We have had so many problems with supply issues that have been of their hands and...

Do you think it's fair for your grandchild to spend on this?

Different cultures do do things differently but tbe way this is written is very misleading to start with. It sounds like she is being 100% supported by her parents. But at the same time the gift was stipulated to be for the grandaughter and the father had no right to spend it in my opinion...

The hidden ATMs helping criminals launder millions: Why Australia is about to ban these machines

I was the same when I saw one here in Perth in our tiny shopping centre at the Vale in Canning Vale. Wondered what the hell it was doing there and who on earth would use it.
