The $220 fine that's catching Aussies off guard: Why jaywalking enforcement is suddenly serious business

So when driving we should be able to drive through a red light when no one else is there? Or not actually stop at a stop sign because we can see no one is there? Your phone could soon replace your car keys—and it might just make life easier for seniors

This is a "can do" not a must do. If you still want you can use a physical electronic key. Your phone could soon replace your car keys—and it might just make life easier for seniors

Here we go again, all the technology whingers. I guess no cars were stolen before, no one ever broke into cars and shorted the ignition to steal a car, lol. Electronic car access is far more secure, very easy fir anyone to break into a car, much harder to get past multiple layers of phone security.

Tesla’s self-driving mode is coming to Australia amid controversy – but it won’t create true driverless cars

Huh??? What do you mean, we have had navigation systems since the mid 90's. And it does not say turn right in 50 metres, again unheard of, it knows well in advance when the next turn is. The system actually has the whole trip mapped out and knows every turn from start to finish.

Tesla’s self-driving mode is coming to Australia amid controversy – but it won’t create true driverless cars

Unheard of, anyway driver still has control. Don't make up rubbish. ANYONE who says their system brakes when it shouldn't are driving too close to the car in front. Just like most Australians do, rarely do drivers here drive with a safe gap.
