Supermarket employee's response sparks backlash from customers: 'This is egregious'

It sounds, to me, that there was a gross exaggeration of the event. If the customer needed their 3 items then why walk the WHOLE store to find them by themselves. If it was a garden item then you go to the garden section, you don’t need to look in the paint section or the tool shop!! If an item...

'Disgusting': The growing problem at Aussie campgrounds that’s hard to ignore

Camped at Coopers Creek many times but got put off by large families of day trippers turning up, encroaching on our camp area for the day, cutting down tree branches for a fire that would not light (?) then leaving rubbish and a still burning (eventually) camp fire in their wake. On two...

Celebrity conundrum: These fake endorsements can rob you of your money!

This sort of advert used to appear on the SDC page every day within Google Ads. It seemed to have stopped when I started reporting the ads as “not appropriate “ which can be done by clicking on the ad on the information symbol next to the x and following through the instructions.

Are you paying huge amounts of debt? Here's why some of your payments may change soon

I have been on aged pension for nearly 10 years and for all that time I have worked part time. Reporting my income, fortnightly, was no problem as my pay fortnight coincided with the Centrelink pay fortnight. Then back a few years Centrelink changed their pay fortnight and I had to use a...

Stay vigilant: How fake 'crime squad' conned seniors with this unexpected method

After sentencing he should not be imprisoned (at our expense) but be deported without ANY of his belongings and bank accounts seized. They should be used to make some sort of repayment. I goes without saying that he won’t have the stolen money but that has gone on to the organisers of the crime.

The hidden fire hazard lurking in your favourite gadgets, experts warn

A comment here is quite misleading. “He advised using chargers with a regulatory compliance mark, as they meet Australian electrical safety regulations and are deemed safe.” Just because the charger has a compliance mark (and how many people know what this looks like) does not mean that it...

Are you overpaying at checkout? Learn about this Woolies pricing error that has Aussies on high alert!

Just to point out that the first item is free but the subsequent (same) items should be at he lower price. This didn’t happen at my local Aldi though. The assistant manager told me that they did not have that policy. I later found out that Aldi had signed the same agreement as Cole’s and Woolies.

Talking about driving licenses…I went shopping and forgot my wallet. Not worried about that as I have all my cards and my Vic driving licence on my phone ( which I did have with me). While out my wife reminded me that we needed to get some cash from the bank. So I went to the Westpac branch...
