Then under those circumstances they shouldn't be entitled to bludge of the every day workers.

A 'hidden' price pinch could quietly hit your wallets this week! Are you ready to pump out extra cash?

And that was my point, though I must admit I was not aware of the fuel rises. That one I can't avoid.

Were you not aware the cost of alcohol automatically rises every six months . The same as cigarettes. Neither of these taxes cause me any angst.

A 'hidden' price pinch could quietly hit your wallets this week! Are you ready to pump out extra cash?

My Hybtid Camry was 13 years old and according to my mechanic the battery was still doing fine when it was sold for $16,000 a few months ago. A new battery is about $5,000 or you can get a reconditioned one for less than $2,000 and my mechanic said about $1,000 labour, nowhere near in excess of...

Federal court decision reveals truth as favourite Aussie fashion brand faces collapse

Out of all the stores thst closed I think that Noni B was the best. Better quality than Millers or Rockmans. I was a bit surprised that they closed. They were a bit more expensive and I guess that with money being so tight these days it probably affected their sales.

Federal court decision reveals truth as favourite Aussie fashion brand faces collapse

Fair enough, some people would probably still want to deal with Rockmans. Everybody's taste is different. I would just advise people to be sure of their sizes as shopping on line is different to shopping in the store, where you can try clothes on. Also be aware that colours can sometimes be...

Federal court decision reveals truth as favourite Aussie fashion brand faces collapse

I only tried Rockmans online once. Never again. The item was too small and didn't match the colour I ordered and it wasn't very good quality. They didn't want to take it back, they finally agreed but then would only give me a store credit not a refund and I had to pay for the return of the...

Federal court decision reveals truth as favourite Aussie fashion brand faces collapse

They would need to up their game, towards the end they were just selling rubbish. Noni B still sold decent products, but Millers, Rockmans etc had slipped also. I used to shop at Rockmans quite a few years ago. I did ask the sales assistant one day if they had a new buyer and if so they needed...

    Owning a home used to be a milestone…now it’s a miracle—here’s why

I used to type the AWOL and IA papers. You can't just up and leave the armed forces without a reason. Eg mental health or ill health, if you've been approved. Anyone who just up and left had a warrant issued against them. You can't just go AWOL.

Federal court decision reveals truth as favourite Aussie fashion brand faces collapse

What manufacturing. We have not been able to compete in the textile industry for years. It is 33 years since I sold my business which I had for 12 years. I couldn't compete back then. The lady who bought my business went under in 12 months We can scream and yell as much as we like but we have...

    Owning a home used to be a milestone…now it’s a miracle—here’s why

Well you can't just leave, unless on medical grounds. I worked for the army, as a civilian, secretary to the Colonel at the RAASC Centre, Puckapunyal, during the VietnamWar. Yes the basic training is hard going, but they were being trained for the Vietnam War (a war we should never have been...

    Owning a home used to be a milestone…now it’s a miracle—here’s why

I believe immigration should be limited to only those with skills we desperately need, e.g. those with either building construction skills, trades such as plumbing, electrical etc. People who can be employed as soon as they arrive. And then we have our own youth, many who seem to think that...

    Owning a home used to be a milestone…now it’s a miracle—here’s why

Where do you get your info from. Australia is not the only country with negative gearing. Off the top of my head I know that Germany, Japan, Canada and Norway also have negative gearing. The outrage is mainly from the larger group of people who don't own or understand investing in property...

‘Too good to be true’? Weight-loss scam tricks Aussies with fake endorsements

Temu is also my go to. Before I buy anything I check if Temu has it. In most case's it does. I know I can trust this site, great prices. Prompt free delivery and, despite what some peopke say, I have never had any problem with the quality. Today I have received a lovely new hall runner, which...

Retirement ‘Nightmare’: Why Millions of Australians Could Be Stuck Relying on the Age Pension

Do people not realise that the Prime Minister and politicians actually get paid peanuts. The people with the brains don't go into politics, they work in private enterprise and earn millions. My btother actually had a highly paid job in IT, earning almost as much as the Prime Minister. But at...
