Terrifying new ATO scam targets Australians in growing warning

Technology has gone so very far and has become almost impossible for those without computer knowledge to cope. A simple solution - JUST DON’T CLICK ON ANY LINKS. Go to the website and do it separately - NOT through the email you get.

Buckle up, seniors! New driving regulations could target elderly licence holders

Yes, you ARE required to go through this process every year in Queensland, from the age of 75. How would you feel or cope if the very next year you had an accident that (if you had been passed or failed by your doctor) may have saved you from maiming or, worse still, killing someone? I’d prefer...

Buckle up, seniors! New driving regulations could target elderly licence holders

We have the annual eye tests at our optometrist, the doctor also does the eye check and the doctor’s signed Transport department form is required in Queensland to renew your driver’s licence EVERY year; your doctor has (or should have) health and medication information about you to be able to...

Buckle up, seniors! New driving regulations could target elderly licence holders

My query - as I don’t know his accident record personally but with bad eyesight(??!!) what would happen if he crashed into your car, or worse, maimed or killed a member of your family? The fact his eyesight was bad should have been enough for his doctor to refuse to sign off on renewal of his...

You won’t believe what my tenant did after moving out—now SHE says I’m the dramatic one!

These acts by many are NOT accidental - they are pure and simple DELIBERATE.

'They are lying’: Single mum blindsided by massive $8,000 Centrelink debt

Any ‘business related’ calls my husband and I make we always start by writing down the date, time of making and ending the call, and the name of the person we speak with. Next comes any information we ask for or they give. This gets filed in the relative file with other related paperwork. I...

Buckle up, seniors! New driving regulations could target elderly licence holders

ALL rules across Australia should be uniform; we are ONE COUNTRY and I agree completely with you on road rules and licensing also. I know of one guy in NSW who was 100, had bad eyesight and his doctor cleared him to drive - where were his doctor’s brains?

Buckle up, seniors! New driving regulations could target elderly licence holders

My doctor does an annual report (compulsory in Qld. as hubby & I both now over 75 at 80 & 84). She gets us to read from an eye-chart from the required distance away, checks our medications are doing what they are supposed to do and only then signs the licence form only after she checks with us...

You won’t believe what my tenant did after moving out—now SHE says I’m the dramatic one!

Probably thought taking things and then ‘playing ignorant about what she could/was entitled to take’ would work. Stupidity & ignorance at its best.

Are you at risk? Health officials warn tourists after infected man visits popular Aussie destinations

There is a certain person on this site that seems to believe the information is only being addressed to that one person and is not true. Let’s leave it for that person to understand they can take advice given or leave it. Others believe and take different bits of advice given for everyone to...

Emergency services levy hike threatens household budgets across country

This is my opinion, Australia is one big country, road rules, local governments, Medicare, medicines etcetera, etcetera, etcetera should all come under one umbrella with each state under the same rules and conditions. It is very confusing if one moves from one state to another and has to go by...

Another stupid, ignorant response. Safety comes first.

    Facing Your Demons

Keep going forward. There are two roads for you - the clear and bright one ahead and the dark one you left behind. I admire you for writing this about yourself & now hope my son will look ahead and not turn back to the dark road behind him.

This Aussie YouTube vlogger tried to expose ‘scammers’. How did he end up being charged instead?

Simple reason why I do not have any of these ‘on-line’ accounts. My phone is only for calls and texts, nothing else. My computer, the same - only to access my emails and send messages to overseas family. Too many scammers and idiots out there and the vulnerable on line.

She Lost $15,000 to Scammers—Don't Fall for This Simple Trick!

Firstly this lady should have downed the phone and called her daughter directly on her daughter’s phone number and not take for gospel that daughter’s phone had been confiscated. That would have been my first response, no matter how urgent the caller made it seem.
