Phone scam robs family of $32,000

In my experience, if it is important, then a message will be left.

Discover this sophisticated scam targeting travellers - don't be the next victim!

Why would you engage with someone you don't know for three hours? If that doesn't raise a red flag, then nothing will. As for aged people not grasping new technology, if they don't understand it then they don't use it. If they use it then they should understand the implications of a scam...

Phone scam robs family of $32,000

Everybody who gets scammed seems to blame the Banks or the Government. When are people going to realise that the banks and government can't stop these scammers and they are not responsible for idiot people. The majority of them are off shore and it's damn near impossible to trace them. Once...

Alert! Aussies warned against new myGov scam

Nothing new here!! These sort of things go out all the time. If people are stupid enough to click on a link then they deserve everything they get, or should I say, everything they lose. Legitimate entities do NOT send a link to click on!!

Beware! A scam targeted at Linkt toll road customers has hit over 300,000 Australians

Absolutely nothing new. This scam has been around for years. I get messages all the time telling me my tolls are not paid. Funny that, because I never use toll roads.

Scammers conned Barry out of $40,000 and CommBank won’t help: Don't be their next victim!

I really don't think that the bank is to blame for people's stupidity. There are so many warnings out there about not clicking on links and scam phone calls that everyone should be alert to them. No sympathy for stupidity.

    Commbank Scam

Yes, same here, heaps of them. I reported them, but as you said, they just use a different email address. It's very frustrating. I just delete them now.

Police sound alarm over alleged romance scam targeting lonely single men

In this day and age I'm still amazed at the number of people who get taken in by scammers. There is so much publicity around, and people still get scammed. The old saying "a fool and his money are soon parted" is 100% correct. It does not need to happen and I'm sorry, but I have no sympathy...

Scam alerts: Australians urged to stay cautious as ATO notes surge in phishing and impersonation cases

Yes, same here. Once again, I just delete them. It's a nuisance, but nothing can be done about it, unfortunately.

Scam alerts: Australians urged to stay cautious as ATO notes surge in phishing and impersonation cases

They are all over Facebook. I don't know how many "friend" requests I have had from so called servicemen, doctors etc. If they have nothing in common with me or no mutual friends, I delete them.

How this simple phone call cost an unfortunate woman $21,000 within seconds

i cannot believe that there are still people out there falling for these scams. As long as this is happening, then the scammers are here to stay. I have no sympathy for anyone who gets taken in by these scams!!

Can you outsmart this nearly undetectable Australia Post scam? Online shopper gives urgent advice

Good grief, I can't believe people are still falling for these scams. As long as people are stupid enough to fall for them, the longer they will go on. Report them to scam watch. Also someone in this post asked what was being done to prosecute the scammers? They have to be caught first and...
