Just what I would do. Leave the whole lot there . If they want it done in a certain way, then put on more staff to do it. Things are getting out of hand.

I agree, i much prefer a chat and have my bag packed. Also I hate the thought that they think I'm stealing something. Self checkouts give me the feeling I am doing something wrong.

I share a bank account with my husband, no transaction we both don't know about. Sooooo, I therefore can't even buy him a present without him knowing. I can't give the grand kids pocket money . I can't even tip the waiter if I dont have cash. ABSOLUTEY KEEP CASH GOING.

If they employed more staff to man checkouts instead, surely their wages would cover all this thieving.

I agree entirely, especially if it stresses you out if you have to explain, and then wait for them to find a staff member who does know (if one actually does) . Couldn't be bothered for 5% on a cheap item.

Totally agree. Surely it would cost less to pay on a staff member to check out your goods and pack them rather than all the problems these self checkouts cause. At least they would know you haven't stolen anything. I try to use a serviced checkout, but sometimes there are none open any more. :-(

This was asked of me on an online purchase. I was outraged and sent a letter saying so and that I would personally tip if the service was good. The reply was, I didn't have to tip and the option was there. The service was very good when the item arrived and we offered a tip to the delivery...

I agree with Bear, things are cleaned when I see them and I always have a weekly cleaning routine. Nothing is mentioned by David like cleaning walls in a spring clean , which I consider (apart from finger marks) to be a large spring cleaning job once a year only.

I can understand people not liking the both plastic and paper bags. Its difficult if you have a home delivery. However, we have been using our own bags for a long time now when we shop in person, so I can't understand why people are still not using their own.
