'I had to go to the emergency department': Global food trend puts one Aussie to the hospital

Yes really. I get a laugh sometimes at the ridiculous instructions for some products. A funny one quite a few years ago when a friend worked with special needs people who were packaging products. One of the items was a condom for each package (no other info provided). My friend gave me a condom...

'I had to go to the emergency department': Global food trend puts one Aussie to the hospital

It’s obvious that many people lack common sense. When I bought my airfryer the warning was: Do not use in a boat & do not use in a moving vehicle. 🙄

Mobile detection cameras to start crackdown on delinquent drivers

It annoys me that they advertise where the camera’s are located. I’m sick of driving behind idiots that are clearly looking down at their phones.

Aussie driver's defiant note and gold coins challenge cashless parking meters

Yes each fee may be only small, but over a year if every transaction attracts a fee, it adds up. If a business will not accept cash they should not be allowed to charge card fees. On a recent trip to Darwin signage was poor in many places & sometimes only a small note stuck to the side of the...

Olympics officers apologise over opening ceremony controversies

I am astounded at the amount of money spent on these events, when there are millions of homeless & starving people in the world. The governments should rein in their spending on rubbish like this & redirect it to where it is really needed. As for the ceremony, I didn’t see it. People are way too...

Digital ‘death knocks’: is it fair game for journalists to mine social media profiles of victims and their families?

Exactly right! I get really annoyed at the stupidity of news stories that discuss details of particular crimes, such as mass shootings & home made bombs.

Safety concerns for Aussie tourists in France amid Olympic festivities: Disturbing attacks raise alarms

Yes there has been gang rape in Australia. I still think we are safer here though.

    Medicare Scam

I never click on any link, whether it’s via email, fb or text. I go straight to the official website. I received a letter a few years ago after the AHM cyber attack advising that both mine & my son’s personal details were for sale on the dark web, then another advice from Ticketek for the same...

Family accuses care facility of unauthorised chemical restraint: ‘Dad was turning into a zombie’

I’ve seen quite a few aged care facilities & it is absolutely infuriating how our older generations are treated. I believe there should be no notice given for audits, although management could then get around that by not keeping records of what is really happening. My mother has vascular...

    Problem with Vicroads

. I am not at all an old 60, opposite in fact! The reason I think people of ALL ages should be re-tested is because over the years rules change & the congestion on roads has increased, as well as the introduction of expressways. There are many people who do not know the road rules, which is...

    Problem with Vicroads

I believe everyone should have a driving test every 10 years & from 70 every 5 years with a qualified driving instructor. As people age peripheral vision & reaction time is reduced. There are also many that are oblivious to new road rules & cause chaos on the roads.

Small business accuses Commbank of making cash ‘actively difficult’ to use

I’ve had a budget for years & update my spreadsheet every 6 months. All utilities & set expenses are averaged out over 12 months. I have a set amount I can withdraw weekly.

Small business accuses Commbank of making cash ‘actively difficult’ to use

It’s actually not illegal for shops to refuse cash. They can set their own terms & conditions which includes whether they will accept cash or card only payments. They should have clear signage when you enter though.

An ALDI shopper's shocking discovery on the floor was not what it seemed – find out what they really stumbled upon!

It could even be a young employee. It seems bullies are starting at a younger age now. Attitude & mimicking older siblings behaviour. One child said to the teacher at Kindy ”you’re not my parent” when they were given instruction. My 4yr old grandson has been bullied at Kindy by a ‘friend’ he...
