'Sneaky' gratuity charge leaves woman out of pocket—are you a victim of this too?

That was exceptional service and I can see why you would go back!

'Sneaky' gratuity charge leaves woman out of pocket—are you a victim of this too?

I actually think a cakeage fee is fair, but $50 is excessive. Not only is the restaurant missing out on dessert sales, but the staff still have to serve it and clean up the crockery and cutlery used afterwards.

Shocking discovery at river bottom traces back to Woolworths: 'Don’t be fooled'

Woolworths in my area DOES have trolleys where you pay either $1, or $2 or use one of their branded tokens (yes SDC they DO have them!) which you get back when you return the trolley. Some people are just too lazy to do that, so it is not Woolies' fault but those who don't return them.

Coles' compensation for a $5 overcharge mistake confuses customer: ‘How is this okay?’

What Coles did was TOTALLY normal and if you, SDC, hadn't been seeking faux outrage from people then you would know that! There has always been a minimum spending requirement for online orders ... for Coles it is $50 and for Woolworths it is $75. Coles have offered her the $5 refund on her next...

Centrelink stabbing suspect pleads ‘not guilty’ as lawyers mull ‘mental impairment’ defence

That is NOT what I said ... and you know it. Talk about over-sensationalising a situation and attempting to put words in people's mouths ... that rubbish will not wash with me and I will call you out on it. Those with a diagnosed mental illness who cannot function in society without attacking...

Centrelink stabbing suspect pleads ‘not guilty’ as lawyers mull ‘mental impairment’ defence

Not everyone has family support, either because they have no family or they have exhausted the patience and support a family can give. I do wish for the institutions to be reopened as some people simply cannot function in society and who, for their safety and those of the rest of the community...

Centrelink stabbing suspect pleads ‘not guilty’ as lawyers mull ‘mental impairment’ defence

Sadly here in Victoria, a previous premier closed down most of our mental health facilities a couple of decades ago and there is nowhere for these people to go. We need to open them again; sadly, some need to be institutionalised. You have made some very valid points and it is refreshing to see...

Centrelink stabbing suspect pleads ‘not guilty’ as lawyers mull ‘mental impairment’ defence

What a vile and nasty thing to say! How dare you!!!! Have you worked for Centrelink? Have you been exposed to the constant abuse these workers experience? You can treat people well and still be abused by those who are disenfranchised and who have issues. Shame on you.

Do you know about the 'shady' fee for using cash at Australia Post?

You are 100% correct but how would the media confect all the outrage amongst the gullible if they were honest? This is a typical piece written with scant attention to the truth and deliberately trying to con people into believing the charge is just for using cash.

Are your energy bills about to change? Here’s the inside scoop on the government's new gas deal with industry giants!

Hopefully this sort of garbage will be seen through by intelligent voters, and those who actually understand politics without an agenda to try and push.

‘Not complicated to use’: Shopper shares sentiments on self-service checkouts

I agree ... and I have NEVER had a supermarket refuse to honour that when self-serve has been used. The staff are happy to overturn the original scan and input the correct price.

‘Not complicated to use’: Shopper shares sentiments on self-service checkouts

So you abuse the poor staff member for doing what their employer has insisted they do? No wonder we now have ads highlighting the abuse workers are subjected to and asking us to be more aware!

‘Not complicated to use’: Shopper shares sentiments on self-service checkouts

The actual meaning of "woke" ... doesn't fit at all with how you have used it.

Woman pleads to the Prime Minister after shopper admits to a desperate act

I know! People have bought into all the media rubbish and don't think for themselves anymore. Even this article is full of emotive language and a bias to blaming the government, and sadly people, like lemmings, just follow whatever opinion is fed to them without thinking for themselves.

David Koch explains why younger Aussies have ‘short end of the stick’ in housing market

Unmitigated lies ... it was the Liberal party who amalgamated the pension fund into consolidated revenue.

David Koch explains why younger Aussies have ‘short end of the stick’ in housing market

No one denies it is so much harder for younger people to enter the housing market. What Koch has ignored though is that many older Australians are still in private rentals and their rent increases over the past couple of years have been exceedingly high.

Prime Minister Albanese reveals a new plan to slash the cost of living for Australians

Noy true ... he has fixed up a lot of the mess left by the previous government and it will take a long time to turn some of that around.

Is your local Centrelink closing soon? Here’s how you can stay ahead and keep receiving assistance

Because websites and the media rely on scare tactics and overly emotive language to get their point across, and sadly people just lap it up! The process has always been the same for public holidays and nothing has changed ... except they are trying to get people riled up and angry!

Selfish parking act sparks outrage: ‘I struggled to get into my car’

It has happened to me too Wendy and I am sorry you were subjected to it. These fools seem to think unless you are in a wheelchair you are not eligible to use the space, but there are many "invisible disabilities" that do require you to use one. If a person has a valid permit it is no one else's...
