You read my mind Vinylted. This would be my next suggestion. The screw has a "lock" and "unlock" position. Fingers crossed.

Not sure, I'm not a plumber but I wonder if that is a screw/nut top between the 2 hinge rollers. If so try unscrewing that. I hope that helps.🤔

Thank you for your kind comments. It is a wonderful place to have a quiet picnic lunch. Summers day, no crowd, plenty of shade and a beautiful stream feeding the falls. All with a panoramic view of the Gold Coast.
