ALDI shoppers are divided over tap-and-go fees—where do you stand?

My card is a debit card, I haven’t used my credit card in years. I find it annoying that I’m charged as if I’m using a credit card when it’s my own money. I mostly use Apple Pay so it’s not like they have to wait or their money, it’s instant. I must check actually if Apple Pay is included in...

Helen Mirren on love at 80s: holding hands and telling critics to f*** off

I watched the Thursday Murder Club over the weekend. It was really good, it’s usually a good show with Helen Mirren but the whole cast we excellent

Are you paying too much for breakfast? Outrage erupts over shocking cafe prices!

I thought that was a reasonable price. If you eat out then expect to pay. I love going out for breakfast but these days it’s a special treat with the family. When I was working I did breakfast all the time with my workmates, now it’s just me and my husband we tend to do lunch or dinner.

Locals stood tall against McDonald’s—and showed the power of community isn’t lost

When we moved here from a small country town I was quite excited when I saw the maccas car delivering near by. My husband said “do you want Maccas delivered?” I said no, I hate it but if I wanted to I could have it delivered lol. We were at least 40 minutes from the closest outlet where we used...

Fashion giant’s $25 million consumer law fine exposes shopping rights every Aussie should know

I’m with you on TEMU. I did order a few things from Katie’s, Crossroads and Rivers, especially when Katie’s had their 7/8 length jeans, the length s perfect as full length for me - I’m sure I will be ok for them for many years to come lol

Aussie dad’s roadside action raises questions for council: 'Something can happen quite quickly'

Good on him! I hope the council keep it looking that good, but I doubt it

The wait is over: Myer’s hottest item is back! Will you snag one before it’s sold out again?

Not for me either but I’m betting TEMU will be selling similar soon, if not already lol

‘They’re everywhere’: An unexpected swarm terrorises Parliament staff and visitors

I have but I’d didn’t really work. I’m better than I was but still paranoid lol

‘They’re everywhere’: An unexpected swarm terrorises Parliament staff and visitors

I’d be taking long service leave or something if I worked in Canberra with my bird phobia. I’m a nervous wreck when the swallows start looking for somewhere to build their nests. I have a bird scarer under the car port. It worked a treat last year along with the reflective hanging things I have...

Powerball and Lotto announce new price changes as costs rise for players

If I won big I can guarantee I would give most of it away. I’d look after family and friends obviously but I have a plan in my head to help young families to buy their first home. I’ve thought about it for years, it might never work, even if I did win the money, but I’d love to be able to help...

Powerball and Lotto announce new price changes as costs rise for players

Alternative burial solutions gaining momentum amid Sydney's dwindling cemetery space

I’ve seen there is a place that, I assume your ashes, become a tree. I think it might be somewhere near Mornington. I have the details filed away. That’s what I’ve told my family I want to happen. No expensive coffin, no fuss and ceremony, just remember happy times as they plant me lol

Australian passport price climbs while visa-free access shifts worldwide

Why does it have to be for ten years? I won’t be renewing my passport as I don’t intend to go overseas but if I suddenly needed to go, ie family illness, I would like the opportunity to maybe have a two or five year option. As it stands I’m not paying over $400 for it to sit on the drawer for...

Powerball and Lotto announce new price changes as costs rise for players

I might have a bit of a whinge but 20cents won’t stop me having a flutter lol

64 kilometres to the nearest bank: How a small town is scrambling to keep its cash safe

It’s so wrong to leave them high and dry. If it’s not viable for them they could at least open two or three days a week with the post office as back up. They don’t care how their decisions upset peoples lives. I’m so surprised at the Bendigo Bank, being a community bank I thought they might have...

Shoppers rush to score op shop gem that could be worth $1,000: 'They're investment properties'

I kept all my records, LPs and singles. I know some are worth money but I just can’t part with them. I dont think my boys will be quite so attached to them when I’ve gone but that’s ok lol

Shoppers rush to score op shop gem that could be worth $1,000: 'They're investment properties'

We gave heaps of video tapes and dvds to the op shop when we moved. I wish we had taken more notice of what we had now lol. A lot of op shops were refusing tapes and dvds a while ago, maybe they’ve had a change of heart.
