FAST AND CHEAP: Will this retail addiction in Australia bite back hard soon?

I go to the Bra section of Best and Less also… usually when they have a sale… I look for a nice satin bra and matching thong for my spare pillow. Just in case I’m in a position where I need to unhook one again… don’t want to be fumbling around in the dark.

Sex, Drugs and Rock & Roll. Once ‘50 Shades of Grey’ becomes a distant memory that no longer gives you a fuzzy feeling… and you’re actually living it. ie. Sex: the clean grey flannel tracksuit that was delivered to your bed from the community wash room like every other aged care resident that...

And while we’re at banning these expensive ‘wanker’ brands we should ban $100 notes… who in their right mind pays $100 for something that costs $0.32 to produce?

FAST AND CHEAP: Will this retail addiction in Australia bite back hard soon?

I remember reading an article in ‘The Daily Mercury’ in 1968 re Living in the Year 2000… that there’d be no need for clothing and that depending on the temperature we would take a tablet to regulate our body temperature… when it becomes available I think I’ll still need to do some ironing.

My God, you throw the ‘Carbon Emmissions’ card to further denigrate an obviously well organised company… isn’t Australia still selling coal to China??? And dont get me wrong I think we should be using our natural resources to Advance Australian industry and cheaper energy at home.

Not so neighbourly: Complaint triggers unruly behaviour in high-end neighbourhood

I don’t think it’s enough to say ‘the Police can’t do anything’… write down the names and position/ rank of officers that you speak to… as urgent action is needed…ie police officers, protective services officers, Principal, whoever… you mean business and no bureaucrat or public servant is going...

Not so neighbourly: Complaint triggers unruly behaviour in high-end neighbourhood

An owner can be evicted under the bylaws and fined for the breaches listed in the councils bylaws. They would need to sell their unit. As an owner of a unit I once parked in a visitors park at my complex to find a letter with a copy of the bylaws and a council fine of $5000 if I was to park...

Not so neighbourly: Complaint triggers unruly behaviour in high-end neighbourhood

Ok if I go fully Rambo as a last resort…before the Magistrate locks me up for life… he will read copies of the letters I sent to the ‘Departments’, council, local member, Strata manager and might think I had tried everything and this was a case of mental exhaustion and torment justifying my actions.

Not so neighbourly: Complaint triggers unruly behaviour in high-end neighbourhood

It sounds like they live in units… whether they own it or are renting there are rules re noise, behaviour, interaction with neighbours etc. or you will be evicted/fined under council bylaws. She should lobby other neighbours who would of heard the ‘nuisance kids’, loud music etc and sign a...

Not so neighbourly: Complaint triggers unruly behaviour in high-end neighbourhood

I think all of that retaliation only has a further negative impact on yourself. I think there are enough ‘Departments’ to deal with it if brought to bear… Education Dept; Department of Children’s Services (DOCS); Police Department; Local Member Dept of Public Housing (if relevant) I wouldn’t...

The kid wears a school uniform? Find out which school. Write to the Principal as a parent of one of the other kids (anonymously) explain that the ‘ratbag kid ’ is leading ‘your’ boy astray in tormenting, abusing and threatening behaviour to a neighbour of the ‘ratbags kid’ (insert name) and...

Another trusted name is closing its doors for good—what’s really behind this retail unraveling?

The one we went to was on the main road… Parramatta Rd I think and the front facade was all black.

Another trusted name is closing its doors for good—what’s really behind this retail unraveling?

I think you are correct re location and rent. My daughter from Central QLD was attending a Sunday wedding in Sydney and she was getting married in 2-3 months herself. She’d arranged for me to pick her up at the airport take her to a bridal shop in Leichhardt to try on dresses and buy one. I’d...
