Shoppers face new safety fears amid surge in armed robberies

sUnless the laws have changed in SA at least, you can not stop a child from walking out the door and going wherever he/she wants to. It is part of the child abuse law. I could write a long list of what is classed as child abuse. In the late 1980s in the very first term at school kids are / were...

On average 11 people would be at least 1/2 to 3/4 hour, perobably longer. Not everybody can physically in one spot for that long

Are your number plates putting you at risk? Surge in cancelled fines raises alarm

Stolen Number plates and them being put on other vehicles is a problem too. It is good that parking fines cars are now photographed. A few years ago a friend of mine got a parking fine for an area she had never driven. It was actually a different brand and coloured car.

Online bargains can burn you (literally)! Here’s how one purchase melted into someone's skin

Some products are labelled wash before use but people ignore the warnings. Despite what some people think, take notice that clothing doesn't show creases where it has been folded and packed in cartons for transport. I have heard it on radio on a few occasions that the things are treated so they...

Illegal dumping scams are spreading fast! Could $1,000-a-tonne costs put your community at risk too?

I can assure you that my suggestion is not fiction. Some car clubs in SA do use them, including at the Collingrove Hillclimb near Angaston in the Barossa Valley in SA

Stop wasting time at Woolies! Discover the secret tip shoppers wish they knew sooner

Unless it has changed not all Woolworths stock all the same items either even though the stores are approx the same size. My closest one doesn't stock some lines that another one a few km away stocks.

‘This isn’t respect’: Veterans question club’s Armistice Day gesture

The club will lose a lot of revenue if that happens. Members and other people will spend their money elsewhere

Illegal dumping scams are spreading fast! Could $1,000-a-tonne costs put your community at risk too?

I suggest the guy contacts some of the big car clubs up there. They might be able to use some as safety barriers at their tracks

Should Uber drivers have the right to reject passengers because of weight?

It canNOT always be controlled by diet. I knew a guy who was actually quite slim until he had to have surgery. Although he exercised and was very careful what he ate he still gradually gained a lot of weight. He volunteered and went into hospital for over a fortnight and ate only what they gave...

Grandpa's 'proper talking-to': One senior's roadside rescue captures hearts nationwide

Large trucks have what is known as a "governer" which is set to stop the truck going any faster than 100kph (I think that is the limit). If they are going any faster than that it means it has been tampered with. Drivers of them need to check them when they buy one. I know somebody bought one and...

Airports should be strict with everyone—so how did a TV favourite get away with this?

The Police should get strict with journalists staying in front of houses near those where crimes have been committed. A few years ago in Adelaide there was a crime commited and the neighbours couldn't walk out of their houses without being harrassed by the media. It happened for over a week...

‘Rolling in his grave’: Outrage over new price of iconic treat

I object to items being reduced in size but have wage and other increases been compared. Wages have more than doubled in that number of years

Remember when royals never caused a stir? Here's how Princess Isabella is rewriting the rulebook

Personally I think the manufacturer shows bad taste in selling a shirt like that. Would it have made the press if somebody else had been wearing it??

Aussies divided over surprising road markings: 'This is more dangerous for cyclists now'

In some areas the bike lanes have a lot of cracks / holes in them and are definitely not safe to ride on, often where there are trees, but not always. There is a lot of problems in Adelaide suburbs.

‘Shut up’: Heated clash erupts live on TV over former PM’s explosive comments

They didn't have to ask him for an interview. Journalists are the worst at putting works in peoples' mouths. They don't like it if somebody does that to them though.

Thousands of customers locked out of their banking accounts: 'How are they down so often?'

II don't know if it still happens but I couldn't withdraw cash at an outdoor eftpos on one occasion. Apparently there had been a power blackout and being during the weekend it hadn't been fixed

Can’t decide where to shop on a tight budget? ALDI might have the answer

I wonder if they checked Aldi's prepacked fruit and vegetables. The quality of them at some SA Stores is terrible. Not only not fresh but sometimes the product in the middle of the bag is "off".
