I wouldn’t put coffee grounds or epsom salts on native plants they are sensitive to to too much nitrogen and both the grinds and epsom salt turn your soil towards the acidic scale good for gardenias and plants that grow in slightly acidic soils. For native gardens if you want to fertilize...

Coffee grounds are great for the garden but should be spread sparingly and raked in if possible piling too deep to mimic mulch can cause problems going mouldy and releasing too much salts in the grounds.
