Cole’s ‘controversial’ change you need to know

How did I not see this very important news from 3 weeks ago? 😮 People moan that supermarkets don't help them with anything. So they try to help people and its still not good enough. 🙄 The moaners should take their own basket!!!! Or just take one of the small trolleys even if you've only got a...

'The car was a piece of s***': Argument ensues over five-digit repair job

If he needs to swear like that I'd take less notice of what he's saying. 🙄 I've only taken my car to the main dealer where I bought it. The servicing cost is probably too high every time, but I know what they've done and they're very helpful. And I keep my dashcam on silent so can see some of...

Cybercrime hits another major Aussie company—here’s what you need to know

Oh well. It's one of those things. Nothing ever seems to happen with these scares. I'll wait to see if my dark web monitor tells me anything.

Is this 'people power' at work? Major bank reverses initial decision over regional branches

What do people need so much by going into a bank branch when everything can be done online? 🤔 Do they miss queuing up to see someone? In this modern age bills get paid by direct debit and for any shopping you use a debit/credit card. It's all so simple. I've never been into any of the branches...

No more paper fines: State reveals upcoming change in the way they file penalties

"The state followed similar digital schemes implemented in Queensland and New South Wales." In NSW I've only had fines in the post. I've never seen anything digital regarding this. 🤔

Simple switch could put $800 back in Australians' pockets each year

I've never messed about with bank accounts. I've been with Westpac for 6 years. I've got a bank and savings account with them. I just transfer over $20 a month to the savings as it's got to have some money going into it to get the full months interest. It all works how I want it.

Jeanswest puts thousands of products on sale amid administration

I've been past this shop many times in my local shopping centre but never been in there. This and others like it seem more for the young crowd. Was just looking on their website and they don't seem to do much in "fatboy" sizes anyway.😕

Will Aussie drivers face heftier fines soon? Here are some changes drivers need to know

So they admit it's partly to do with revenue raising.😕🙄 "The Treasurer's decision, typically made before the end of March, considered various factors, including cost-of-living pressures, the state's revenue needs, and the effectiveness of fines as a tool for law enforcement." "The anticipated...

Are Hyundai vehicles at risk? Major security defect sparks concern among drivers

No point blaming Hyundai. It's all makes of keyless cars. I don't know where they got that expensive price of a scanner? You can get them online for a few hundred dollars. Personally, I use one of these if I park in a strange area. It would take them a long time to get it off. Although...

    TV Subscriptions

I don't waste my money on any of the TV streaming services. There's plenty to watch everywhere for free. However, I've got a VPN to watch English programmes. Anything else I've got to pay for monthly, mainly bills, are on direct debit straight from my bank. Do people have bank charges?

Is Kmart fixing a decade-old mistake? Insiders reveal what’s coming

Not bothered where they are as long as my local store has more self checkouts if they move them near the exit. That would make it quicker. 👍 At Easter/Christmas the middle gets congested anyway as much as the exit would so I don't see that's much excuse for them. It's just wasted space for them...

Famous Aussie fashion brand suddenly closes all physical stores. Why?

I went past one of their shops yesterday in a local shopping centre and there was nobody in there buying anything. Although there weren't a lot of other fashion shops there with people buying anything either. 🙄 If people buy clothes that last then they have no need to keep going back to buy...

Federal Budget 2025-2026: What Seniors Discount Club members need-to know—by Kaye Fallick

I've given up with CW. They started using pills from a company called Wagner which I think they own? All the packets were looking the same. I preferred the different brands so I knew what I was doing. Now found a different good chemist and not so busy. 🙂
