I hav a couple of $1 notes, one of which is in very good condition. The serial number is DJT 130009 and the 'Secretary to the State' is signed by John Stone. I have no idea what it could be worth to a collector, probably a dollar.

I can remember a small shop near a school selling Turf cigarettes but in 1947 many people couldn't afford to buy a packet of 10. So he had some small paper bags which held one Turf cigarette and one match (Swan Vesta - which you could strike on a wall) for one penny. The good old days eh!
