Backlash erupts after surprise council move leaves locals fuming

Australia Day should remain as it is. Why after all this time should it be changed. I know I'll be celebrating on the 26th.

Music legend hospitalised for surgery as hospice rumours prove false

I loved the way he had such a passion for playing the drums and his singing was fantastic. One of my favourites was and still is In The Air Tonight

AI confused dogs for something else—and this Aussie paid the $50k price

This is stupid. You can easily tell that they are dogs at the window. Meta should reimburse at least some of the money she lost through loss of income and make a formal apology to let everyone know it was the computer sites mistake.

Disability employment provider Bedford to go into voluntary administration

Maybe the Federal government should put more money towards keeping companies like this open instead of putting extra money into their own pockets

‘Could have been catastrophic’: $28,000 fine for tradie over near-disaster at fuel site

Just pure laziness on his part. He's paying for it in the end but imagine what would have happened if someone close by lit up a cigarette? Shame on him and his company for being so lax in judgement

Shocking end for legendary skydiver: What really happened to Felix Baumgartner?

He was a very courageous man to do the things he did. Such a tragedy to die the way he did but at least he was doing something that he loved. Me? I can't go above the first rung on a ladder. RIP Felix.

    What's your morning routine like?

Awake at 3am to give my dog her liver tablet, back to bed and up again at 4 to feed her and give her insulin injection, back to bed and up again at 6 to take my tablets and take my dog for a walk. Back home about 1/2hour later and have my breakfast, then it's into the housework

North Burnett Regional Council hands down Queenland's biggest rate increase

Why do they have to employ so many people at the Shire and how many would be willing to accept a pay cut to help out? Why do they have their meetings and cater out for the food? Don't get me started on what they drink. Definitely not the cheap stuff. I know because I worked in a Shire for 6...

Show Us the Receipts: Watchdog Puts Super Funds Under the Microscope

I only have $15,000 left in my super account. I've had to use my super for the past 18months while waiting for Centrelink to grant me the aged pension. I kept putting in forms and after 12 weeks being told to resubmit. Looks like my kids are going to have to help support me in later life.

You won’t believe the shocking message these elderly women found on their restaurant bill in New York

I think living in a small country town the workers would be sacked immediately. There is no forgiveness for being rude to customers, even if you're having a bad day. I would have thought the owners wouldn't want their business to have a bad reputation. I wouldn't be surprised if their clientele...

What’s one tiny thing that made your week better?

I finally got to spend a couple of days with my brother who lives in Brisbane and I live in country WA. We went out for a coffee and relaxed for a while. It was a whirlwind visit but at least I had time with him and reminisce.

Woolworths shopper makes $52 mistake with order and reveals how to avoid it

I always buy tins on tuna with corn and mayonnaise but instead I receive tuna with lemon and black pepper. I am highly allergic to citrus so I tick the box so they know not to substitute. The last order I got, I ordered 24 tins and couldn't believe it when they were all tuna with lemon. I sent...

'Is it unreasonable to refuse a handmade gift from my niece?'

You should definitely put your career first. She is your niece, not your daughter. The only ones not thinking about anyone else but themselves is you. You already have something in the making so wear that and enjoy your night
