Former partner of ex-Prime Minister Julia Gillard, Timothy Raymond Mathieson, allegedly pleads guilty to sexual assault

This "story could have been written in two sentences. As it is, the padding about Ms Gillard is nothing more than titillation and scandalmongering for salacious headlines.

Former partner of ex-Prime Minister Julia Gillard, Timothy Raymond Mathieson, allegedly pleads guilty to sexual assault

I have to say I wondered how this was even possible without it being on display so to speak   Certainly could not have been an opportunistic event at Friday night drinks in the local. Seems there is more to this than we are being told.

‘You have no shame.’ Coles defends controversial $15 paper bag amid backlash

Hard no from me on the $15 paper bag. I keep reusable bags in the car and I have some nylon bags in my handbag that fold out to be about the same size as the supermarket plastic bags of yesteryear. I won't even pay 25c for a paperbag either! There are better things to spend my money on.

Say Goodbye to Baking Paper Struggles: Discover This Easy Kitchen Tip!

It amazes me that people just don't know these things. I have been doing this for decades even before Jamie Oliver. Another little trick is to put the tin on top of the baking paper. Draw round the base of the tin then cut from the corner of the paper to the corner of the tin on all four...

Can we please leave the beets to the Americans and use beetroot in Australia?

Eight telcos threatened with hefty fines over practices against ‘struggling’ customers

I switched to Aussie Broadband too a couple of years ago and like you have had no billing, payment or service issues since. I like the fact they inform you even when it is NBN working on the service and how long my service may be down. And they have a customer service centre in Australia!

Stay in control of your money: Westpac's new banking feature allows the blocking of direct debits

And that is the very same reason I refuse to have any direct debits to a third party. I will not give access to my account to anyone.

Outrage escalates! Why are BIG W and Target stocking this controversial sex education book?

Sitting on the fence also risks splinters in the bum 🤣

Sunrise star's unexpected jab at Matt Doran sends co-host into a spin

Matt and Monique are just offensive full stop. They behave like kids in a playground, they talk over guests, they make themselves the centre of attention when their job is to report the news and they try and out expert the experts on the show. It gets so bad the viewer cannot follow interviews...

The Truth Behind King Charles's Pay Hike!

There is a great deal of nastiness in many of these contributions and clearly made from a position of genuine ignorance supported by anti-monarchist vitriol. Not one person here has pointed out that the worth of the working members of the Royal Family is almost incalculable. Every time Kate...

Fake fashion retailer preys on unsuspecting shopper via Google search: ‘I wasn't aware’

Sorry to hear your story but really..... good customer service from a bank should have been the biggest red flag! 😂

Outrage escalates! Why are BIG W and Target stocking this controversial sex education book?

I don't think the issue is about the book as a tool for teenagers in high school. Ms Stymes has said it should be used with primary school children as young as 8 or 9. THAT is the issue along with the gender-bending affirmations going on in primary schools (and reflected in the book).

Outrage escalates! Why are BIG W and Target stocking this controversial sex education book?

Funny you ask that question. When I was in Woolworth the other day, there was a five-minute-long 'party political broadcast' about The referendum and that Woolworth was voting yes (a bit stupid that one because the organisation does not get a vote, individual people do) then it went on about...

Even with Robodebt gone, why are Centrelink debt notices still causing stress and confusion?

Unfortunately, where government money is concerned it is like a bee to a honey pot and attracts criminals who think there is no victim in their theft. There is always a victim and in the case of NDIS, aged and child care and other welfare payments, the victims are twofold; those who genuinely...

Even with Robodebt gone, why are Centrelink debt notices still causing stress and confusion?

As much as people don't want to admit it it, there are people who will scam Centrelink and any other agency handing out money (look at the drought and flood relief, child care centres and even the NDIS). Those that are cheating on welfare payments must be stopped and punished for doing so. After...

What's wrong with Vegemite on toast? Outraged parent exposes daycare centre ban!

No need to worry about how a childcare centre would react to an anaphylactic attack. Like school teachers, the early learning staff are well trained in managing it. All centres would have EpiPens on hand should the need arise.

Nostalgia or necessity? Why 23 million people are turning to pay phones in a digital age

There is a Telstra public phone about 100mtrs from where I live and is regularly in use. You can also charge your mobile phone there too if needed. Being free to use, there is no vandalism because there is nothing to be gained from doing so. There should be more of them since the numbers...

Kmart draws flak for 'insensitive' Titanic-themed product—what do you think?

So does this mean that we should never ever buy anything that can or could be linked to a historical event where people died? That would include Viking helmets for fancy dress (those civilisations were a bloodthirsty lot raping and pillaging across northern Europe), no pirate costumes and...
