    Remember my mother had both, the butter was always kept in the square one. Had a couple of the lemon squeezers, it was always my job to squeeze the oranges as we had approx 10 orange trees. The juice so much nicer than th3 juice you buy at the supermarket now.

    Remember this well, I ‘m sure we had them wrapped in grease proof paper and then wrapped in newspaper. If we felt like a snack on the way home from school, we often bought sixpence worth of chips that was wrapped the same way, and tore open one end to eat & enjoy. Yummy!!
