Too early for Christmas decorations? Mum sparks discussion after putting her tree up in October

It has been our tradition to go to or watch the Christmas Pageant ( Adelaide) which occurs on the second Saturday in November after which we put our Christmas decorations up. Then we always take them down on January 1. Our children now do the same with their children. It works for us. I have a...

Women are doing twice the amount of chores than men, study shows

I agree, the same argument has been going on for all of my life. Naturally there are men who contribute and in some cases run the household. My question is “why is money still being wasted on this survey?”

Shoppers are FURIOUS at supermarket self-serve checkouts — find out why!

I would happily use a check out operated by staff however there are only ever two open at my Woolies and the line is too long. M time is valuable.

Shoppers accuse Coles of increasing prices of milk, then marking it down to look like a bargain - here’s the full story

I cannot understand the price increase on some goods. Yes, I know the price of petrol is an influencing factor but a $2 increase per package of muesli? Why is the hairspray I use $11 per can at Big W and only $5 at Chemist Warehouse? Same size. Why have tissues risen by $1:50 per box? Why do we...

Supermarket called out for being 'inconsiderate' of older customers: 'Fix it!'

I’m amazed! We live in Adelaide and the Woolworthsthat we use has an escalator up from the car park as well which is out of order on a regular basis. It’s been like this since the store was first built not too many years ago. .? the same escalator company

Coles customers miffed after store goes self checkout ONLY: 'Now EVERYBODY has a job at Coles'

I use self service for a small shop because there ore only ever two checkouts open when I go and they have queues of people with full trolleys. I try to schedule my big shop for when I know the store is quiet. As to the ‘chatting’ I enjoy a brief chat. Why can’t we be nice to each other?

Aussie TV hosts call Harry and Meghan 'D-grade celebrities'; they're said to NOT be welcome in the UK

I too am sick and tired of hearing about them. Here’s an idea, why don’t the journalists stop writing about Harry and Meaghan and give us a feel good story instead. Like the four year old who called 000 when his mum had a seizure and fell down.

ALDI may be the most budget-friendly supermarket, but here's WHY you should 'think twice' before going

I would challenge anyone to find everything on their list at one supermarket at the moment. I like Aldi however I do wish they would catch up and get rid of the plastic bags and introduce compostable fresh produce bags. Hardly any of their packaging is recyclable either.

Flying kites is illegal? Weird and funny laws in Australia

Please, please bring the vacuum cleaner noise law to South Australia. Our neighbour has a built in vacuum system . The motor is outside. The noise is horrendous! We can’t hear ourselves talking.

Woolies employees reveal ONE of their pet peeves – customers requesting "no substitutions" in their orders

I have never used online grocery shopping but after reading of the ‘attitude’ of the staff who do the ‘shopping’ I never will. It’s their job to fill the orders not to make stupid replacements. Everyone deserves respect, customer and staff alike. Let’s work together, please.

Yuck: Removing (and Preventing!) Maggots from your Wheelie Bins

Good morning, I too was having a problem with flies and maggots in my green waste bin. I went to my favourite store Bunnings, and purchased an item called ‘Bin Kill’. It comes with a cable tie to attach it to the bin with it hanging inside. It emits a citrus type scent as well which deodorises...
