Driver almost faces $120 in fines after another driver's 'entitled' move

sadly, some councils (I'm looking at you Central Coast!) are removing motor-cycle parking near beaches to make one more car-parking spot. So, an area that can park 3 or 4 motorcycles / scooters is now reduced to one car/ute/yank-tank.

This 'hidden' secret behind one ute is driving motorists wild. What could it be?

pretty much everyone has GPS in their pocket nowadays, cunningly disguised as a 'smart phone' (choose your poison). you can install an app that uses the GPS capabilities, and will alert you when you are over the speed limit for the current stretch of road. of course, this does not take into...

not far behind you - and only once. although I did fail an RBT this past week, but got off. I'd just used hand sanitiser about 10 mins before and the device detected that alcohol. so we did an alternate test and passed - 0.0 :)

Rebel gets hit with hefty fine for taking on speed cameras - find out what this Tassie vigilante did!

indeed. there was one particularly disliked speed camera on Manns Rd, West Gosford NSW, that a speed camera, a camera watching it, another camera watching _that_ camera, and finally another camera watching *that* camera. they're all gone now ;)

the biggest impact I've seen on driver's attitudes is coppers in marked cars driving on the roads, with the occasional one with lights flashing behind a pulled over car. there needs to be more marked police cars out and about to get people to change their attitudes. oh, even better if there are...

Supermarkets grapple with supply chain issues due to trucking industry concerns

I was a professional driver in a 'past life' ;) It was eye-opening when I was driving for the NSW PTC (as it was back then) to celebrate the retirement of a older driver, and then 12 months or so later, be informed of his funeral. Driving a heavy vehicle is stressful - not just the pressures of...

'No cash accepted': Customers furious over unannounced changes in fast food chain

I too refuse to buy from them - but the main reason is I can no longer afford them :/ my local 'foodmart' has an $11 bbq chook, less fat, more flavour. And with their loyalty card, the 11th one is 'free' (so, I guess I pay a little extra for the other 10 and have paid for the 11th already :) a...

'I felt empty': Primary school bans grandparents from entering classrooms

surely if these people were being supervised / observed by a teacher (or other member of staff), then the WWC would not be required for single afternoon. either the school has misinterpreted the regulation, or there is over-governing by the victorian (oh! what a surprise!) state government.
