    Pharmaceuticals are a federal government program, ALL of Australia is included in that. The Medicare safety net is also Federal.

    There's always a price premium for certain drugs to ALL card holders. Still, you're getting cheaper meds and reach the safety net at $270 odd. Also get greater benefits if you have a lot of gap bills for medical.
