    SYDNEYS SMART MOTORWAY CHAOS

SYDNEYS SMART MOTORWAY CHAOS When will NSW Transport Minister realise that the biggest single mistake that has been made is the introduction of SMART MOTORWAYS. The new interchange at Rozelle Balmain or wherever is a prime example. I often travel on the M$ between Penrith & Parramatta, I think...

Woolworths CEO speaks out on self-service checkout issue

Interesting comment by Coles "2/3rd of customers prefer to use them" & both saving faster & more convenient. Yes for a quick shop they are great. I use them. But for a weeks/ fortnights shop with a massive trolly full of goodies they are hopeless. Why do 2/3rds use them? BECAUSE THERE IS NOT...

Discover how this supermarket can fill your trolley with groceries for just $25!

ALDI have been in Australia for about 12 years. What have they done differently? Cunning advertising, not strictly accurate but then they don't care. 2kg washing power advertised at (all prices are mine and not necessarily accurate) $4.00 against Omo etc at $12.00 not a lie but not accurate...

Sudden price hike on bottled water leads to surprising discovery: ‘I'm being penalised if I recycle at home?’

I fail to understand why people do not drink tap water. It is better for you (fluoridated & sterilised) and about 2,000% cheaper.

Woolworths roast chickens are now priced…WHAT?

At St Marys Woolworth I had the reverse. Lobster tails 1/2 price at $12.00 each. Sounded OK so I bought one, then the assistant apologised profusely saying that $12.00 was the full price & it should be $6.00. I bought another.

Kmart's controversial solution to checkout woes: A first look at the Melbourne store trial

At last K-Mart realise the checkouts should be the last point on leaving the store. I always refuse to should my bag to store detectives/checking officers. If they put the registers in the middle of the store then they must accept the consequence. Not that I go there often, because of the hassles.

Is this aisle change at Woolworths misguided? One shopper sparks debate

I like to use Dextrose rather than Sugar for cooking. it used to be next to the Home Brew Products at Woolies. Now they don't stock it at all. I have to go to Big W to purchase. (Coles gave up stoking about 5 years ago. )

Is Bunnings overcharging you? Controversy erupts over 'ridiculous' price discrepancies on the same item at different locations!

This probably should be a separate post. Recently I went to purchase a Thick Winter Doona from Myers. The half/Price sale was to end about one hour after I went to the store. They (Penrith) had none in stock & a quick check off their computer showed no other stores with any stock. A big...

Woolies shopper highlights a 'big problem' with checkout cameras

I hate the assumed inference that you have stolen something. Sure some do, I don't (I even stop at stop signs on the road). if ever I am asked have I forgotten something, I leave everything there, including the unpaid bill, and walk out. Fuck with me Fuck with them.
