‘They thought I was dead’: Grandfather becomes target of brutal scooter assault

I agree that they need to actually carry out the sentence given and if parole conditions are breached they need to be returned to prison to complete their original sentence incarcerated. However making sentences tougher to send a message and act as a deterrent wouldn’t really work as most don’t...

State imposes new school limits on popular snack

The article does say that the new guidelines DO NOT apply to preschool, childcare or food brought from home for personal consumption so you can fill their lunch boxes with all the fairy bread, pies, sausage rolls and cold meats as you like and just have to change when using the canteen. All...

Coles' new 'Smart Gates' allegedly crush shopper: ‘Yes, it hurt’

I don’t think you have actually stolen anything until you completely exit the store not just a particular section of the store so surely having gates anywhere except at the store exit points is kind of a waste of time and money. I could be wrong but I don’t think you can be accused of stealing...

Start the New Year right with these must-know financial changes that will impact your budget

Nope they included us with the increase in the number of scripts needing to be filled before we get our freebies. At least I think that’s what it says. We apparently don’t need any monetary rises because we are living the high life, evidently?!

The Seniors Discount Club Christmas Charity Fundraiser!

Great Idea!!! Wishing everyone a Merry Xmas, have a happy and safe time with family and friends. I’ll leave the charity decision to others but admit I’d like to hear a less well known or one not given a great deal of Press coverage to win.

Coles shopper allegedly gets scolded by employee for scanning groceries ‘in the wrong order’!

As I’ve said before I like self serve checkouts and always use. I’ve noticed in the last couple of weeks that signs have appeared at all self serve checkouts at my local Coles store reminding you to scan heavier items first. The signs read as a suggestion rather than a rule. These signs appeared...

This 'ugly' Kmart top has shoppers buzzing: ‘I don’t understand these’

I don’t like the crocheted one but I did like the first photo in this post with the green one over a matching green camisole top. Obviously not for me at almost 70 ( that would keep people laughing for the rest of the day but). Although if it was around when I was in my early 20’s I might have...

Are Coles and Woolies the only ones that still want self-serve checkouts? Retailers worldwide are ditching this feature

Your entitled to your opinion just as I am. I prefer to pack my own so I can control weight distribution so I can carry it safely. I also like my fruit and bread unsquashed. No matter how many times I set out my groceries on a manned checkout how I’d like it packed the checkout person picks up...

Are Coles and Woolies the only ones that still want self-serve checkouts? Retailers worldwide are ditching this feature

I’m fine with self-serve checkouts and only use manned checkouts when absolutely necessary. Love the conveyor belt type self-serve at my local Coles
