'Best piece of advice' competition - Share your best advice and you could win $100

Adventure is inconvenience rightly considered - and inconvenience is an adventure wrongly considered! I don't know the source but whenever I get lost or something I think of this.

Coles trials removal of single-use plastic produce bags in select stores

I think its a good idea and I already use my own lightweight produce bags. I made a variety of sizes from an old net curtain. Unfortunately there will always be those who are "forgetful" and require the shops to keep selling them plastic bags. Good for the store, bad for the environment. and...

Is this the end of op-shopping? Shopper claims the prices of second-hand clothes are rising faster than the cost of living

Not all. There was an organisation in Qld who charged OTT prices but their stores have closed now - wonder why? Church run oppies are usually cheaper. I still like to op as its a donation for the chariy, saves landfill and usually I buy better quality clothes at K-Mart prices.

Simple shopping trolley difference carpark sparks heated discussion – do you agree?

If you need a $1 to get a trolley you (or someone else) WILL put the trolley back. If its a shared trolley bay you can see the evidence.

These people have NO idea how to use quotation marks!

Most of those quotation marks are not required. They are supposed to be used to indicate a quote. Like she said "I don't use quotation marks, unless its a quotation"

The unexpected reason why shoppers willing to spend extra money on groceries

I certainly don't shop to get these crappy little "collectibles" even the granddaughters didn't want them. My fav's were the knives and kitchenware that Coles had I did switch supermarkets for them. But the best deal is lower prices at Aldi although there are no Aldis in Tasmania mores the pity.

Deli worker reveals 'pet peeves' about customers – do you do any of them?

NOW I agree that the teeny, weeny, little labels should be a LOT bigger for us blind people so we don't have to get our eyes, glasses and hands too close to the glass cabinets so we can actually SEE what we want and not guess what's written. ,

Deli worker reveals 'pet peeves' about customers – do you do any of them?

Ha ha! Everyone who has ever worked in retail will have similar stories. My story as a Queenslander starting to travel in NSW - stood at the deli counter and asked for 500g of cheerios. Of course I didn't have to point, everyone knows what cheerios are. "We don't sell cheerios says the lass"...

Woolworths gives away FREE fruit to children, but some shoppers are taking advantage

Absolutely its stealing. Its an initiative to help parents give the kids not only some fruit but also a taste for fruit as a treat. Adults (yes, even seniors) have no right to this. I have also witnessed people at smorgasbord restaurants load up their tote bags with bread rolls, fruits and...

What is your hobby or something you love doing

I have a lot of hobbies. I do something with gusto for a while and then move on until I do an about face and get back to it. At the moment I'm obsessed with knitting, in particular miniature knitting for my little dolls. Done on .08mm needles, a very bright light and a magnifying glass 🤣 Not...

What is your hobby or something you love doing

What recipe do you use for pizza bases? I have not really found a good recipe that mimics the pizza shops as yet. I also love baking bread etc and yes, kneading by hand is very therapeutic and meditative.
